Crystal Palace v Fulham match thread

There's no threat at all. Have we actually had a shot on goal!? At least Ipswich et al play exciting football. Yes Eze and Wharton are out but there's nothing there! Ffs. I can't watch more of this crap.

Seen enough…ground rapidly emptying….look no further than Parish and Freedman for not beefing up the squad. So many great Championship players available - and in all honesty, we are down
Absolutely agree. Eddie, Kamada and Sarr. Not seen anything to think there is any value there at all. Piss pour shopping.

I think we could be in deep s*** come January.

I want to know what the board was thinking in August and you know they will leave it all until the last minute again in January when we pick up a donkey and a new tea lady.

People will say Glasner should go. But he was not the one initiating the destruction and foreseeable collapse of our team by selling JOA. We all know, who that is.
Glasner has to take his share of the blame. Yes he doesn’t have the players he might want. However, the one he wanted has been utterly dreadful. He’s also completely failed to find a system, shape or 11 that works. I don’t expect someone paid millions to just blindly persist with what isn’t working.

Having said that there is a lot of blame to go around. The squad is awful. Especially in creative and attacking areas. Sarr and Nketiah aren’t Premier League standard but took up £40m of the transfer budget. Such terrible business. Meanwhile we have only one left back and creative player. That is Freeman and Parish’s fault as is yet again doing all our business so late it screwed up our start to the season.

We didn’t send Wharton for surgery when we should have meaning he was ineffective and than unavailable. That is just terrible planning.

Unless we spend big in January we are relegation fodder. Even if we do it may well be too late.

I still stand by that we're in big trouble this season. Let's face it we could of lost by 5 or 6 today really.
Looking at Smith-Rowe my word have we been royally shafted with Nketiah.

Was always going to be tough today due to the injuries but I think it's safe to say our summer signings have been poor. Kamada was useless as ever and Sarr ran around like a headless chicken all game.

We have got to replace Mitchell as well.. He's so poor going forward and his crossing again today was woeful.
The only positive to come out of today is that we don't have to put up with Kamada for the next 3 games.

I never thought I would be glad of an international break… wish it was a month so some players are fit and back.

Positives.
New kid looked good.
Hughes will be back
Doucoure will be a bit fitter.

Sick of this though and bored of feeling like this.

I'm awaiting Painter to vilify all those pissed off at Kamada and Sarr. As he did to me the other week.

They are a shambles.

I think Palace will avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth again but some of the players need a kick up the arse.

Thought Kamada was a former protegee of Glasner - and he's one of the biggest fails so far....

That's a fair point. Although I've only seen kamada play in his preferred position less than a handful of times.

Anyways emotions will be high now after this loss.

In one of my earlier posts I said that we'd lost our best defensive player, our best attacking player, and our hardest working player. The team structure therefore has definitely been weakened, it will take more than a few games for the replacements and team to gel. Given injuries we don't have the luxury of time.
The same story of scrimping, and/or piss poor recruitment choices. I could have told Freedman for nothing that Sarr and Nketiah are not good enough. As for Kamada, is this the same player? Perhaps he's an imposter and the real Kamada is plying his trade elsewhere. Or perhaps he can't hack the EPL.
Glasner must have realised what he has let himself in for, Parish and Freedman are at least consistent, as it's been the same story under a number of different managers.

Well the international break can’t come soon enough. Today was predictable and just confirms how in trouble we are. We have to have everything align perfectly for us to win a game. How often is that going to happen?

Much as I admire OG and don’t think all of this season is on him I do wonder if we need to make a change to do something to galvanise the team or at least try something different. It can’t be worse than it has been so I am not sure what we have to lose

Glasner is the manager to take a team forwards. If backed this could have happened or if he had time to really get the system in place properly.

However, as always we are pretty much at the point where a ‘Roy’ or ‘Pullis’ will be called for. They will come in, stop the rot and then we will be moaning at the dire football. s*** or bust.

I just don't understand how, Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford, villa, Forest, and Brighton have established and moved on to really thrive in the league and in 10 years we have gone nowhere.

Nketiah, Kamada, Sarr can all f***ing do one. Bring Wilf back FFS or we are really in the s***. No player out there seems to be really fighting for Palace.

Yeah I agree. OG needed to be given the players he needed (though Kamada does make you wonder about that). With that we might have progressed. However he hasn’t been given them so I think we might need a manager who can work with the squad we have.

Is that very harsh on OG? Yes it is but we have to do something different or we are down.
