CPFC v Millwall Match Thread

So, the keeper will miss 3 games unless it’s investigated and he gets a longer punishment. But we could potentially lose Mateta for 3 or more games if the injury is bad so there seems to be no justice whatsoever.

Parish was fuming and rightly so and he wasn’t going to let that stupid woman who interviewed him at half time put him off speaking his mind despite her best attempts. I hate the BBC.

After Ipswich we have a long break before another Premiership game.

A kick like that is serious and potentially life altering and threatening.

Fingers crossed for him that no serious damage is there.

It's also the potential negative mental impact this sort of injury can have on a player which concerns me most.

Let's just hope it's not as serious as it initially looks and JPM makes a speedy recovery.

Too squeaky much of that second half.

From 10 men a division below us.

Nketiah MotM who failed with every pass.

And how many overhit passes to both wings that rolled harmlessly off for goal kicks? Had we changed the pitch/ball?

Still, at home to a team that low pressed I feared the worst, even after the red card. Good result!

Fingers crossed for Preston away...

Thought this a great piece . . .

In other news . . .

According to the FA, they can investigate the homophobic chanting towards Chilwell, but, cannot investigate the chanting towards JPM as it didn't break their standards. Really.

Fa cup games are always a potential banana skin. We made it into the next round that's the main thing.

I thought after the red millwall would retreat and it would be hard for us to break them down. Two lucky goals we got.

I guess that's the blue print now to beat us sit back and let us have the ball. Everton and brentford did their homework on us. Will Ipswich do the same?

the players looked very tired in the last 30 mins 3 hard games for the back 3 in 7days were being to take there toll ,franca and esse looked very lively which was good to see when they came on coyp

I didn't get to see the game, but reading the reports TBH I'm not surprised we went a little flat after JPM was stretchered off. The team had to have worry in the back of their minds while trying to see out the game. I hope JPM makes a speedy recovery - let's go and win the cup now!!

COYP

I'm just back from the game and have just watched the highlights. The challenge on JP was truly awful and looked worse than it did from my vantage point in the stand. Their keeper Roberts deserves much more than the usual 3 match ban. As someone else has pointed out, the incident was reminiscent of Schumacher's assault on Battiston in the World Cup in 82.

On a brighter note, that was a great header by Nketiah for our 3rd goal.

Apologies for our bloke trying to decapitate your bloke, but come on, back in the good ol’ days that would have barely been a yellow!!. There’s even an argument to be had that he headed our keepers studs and not the other way around.

you should’ve been 5 nil up at half time. Second half you was poor. Atmosphere was pretty poor from you lot as well, for large parts of the game all we could hear was the drum.

Anyway, see you all in a couple of seasons. We’re going up next season 😉👍🏻🦁

Hopefully not, vile club

I told you that Tanganga was a great player, 1 goal and 1 assist what's not to like. 😀

The lads did well after the X rated foul, can someone explain to Michael Oliver that he doesn't have to wait for VAR.

Not sure where to start with this…

So I’ll let others who are better with words reply.

If you're going to try a wind up at least make it vaguely credible.
