The BBC should be banned from covering football. Their technology is way below par. Their commentators, interviewers, and their female presenters (the majority) are way below standard.
Their visual coverage today was totally unacceptable. It was near impossible to see anything going on that was in the shadow. Even streaming channels outdo them these days. Pathetic.
The one that interviewed Parish just didn't get the severity of the incident and the effect it was having on everybody. She was intent on swerving it and keeping it all happy happy. Parish rightly so outmanoeuvred her superbly.
 
This game was ruined after a few minutes by a shameful challenge.
I expect Mateta to be back in a few weeks, albeit he might be scarred physically for life. The keeper should face further action.

We won without playing that well, and we move on.

I'm not sure feeder teams are allowed in the same division as their parent club.

It was similar for the Stockport game. I think we struggle to get up for games against small teams.

That was a truly shocking, potentially career ending, life threatening, foul on JP and that deserves a ban for the rest of the season. Their manager is a total pratt as well, defending his player, because he didn't "mean it" and "you see it every week up and down the country". Totally disrespectful and extremely poor judgement. Hopefully his ear will get some decent plastic surgery in the off season, since apparently he had it torn in half by those studs - he is very lucky not have been severely injured. He is truly becoming a Palace legend, but this time it must hurt like hell! All the very best JP!!!

What amused me was the lack of 'wading in' by the so called Security - all dressed up in their hi-viz vests and standing around watching it unfold like a bunch of workmen round a hole in the road....
 
“He got to the ball.” But at head height, with both feet. It doesn’t matter a flying feck, it was a potentially lethal challenge. I was so enraged I found no enjoyment in the game whatsoever. I kept seeing the impact on JPM’s head, like he’d been hit with a battering ram.
