Censorship and Social Media

I thought Vance made an excellent speech ths morning, not only condemning Europe's censorship laws, but also the ludicrous immigration policies (or lack of them) that allow our countries to be swamped and abused by potential terrorists. Of course he referred to yesterday's terrible carnage in Munich.

Reckon there were many in the audience, and others listening in, who felt extremely uncomfortable. On present form Vance would make a good successor to Trump.

Well, we certainly know that he takes advantage of free speech on the Hol platform whereas that speech isn't extended to an opposite version of himself on left wing sites....the bbs for example.....a site that supports many of his views.

I have no responsibility for what happens on the BBS, or anywhere else, and no knowledge either as I don’t use it.

Removing content that breaks the rules is not though in conflict with free speech. There is an argument to suggest it ought to happen here more often. Absolute free speech can never exist in a democracy and not at all in an autocracy. Freedom under the law is what must be protected.

That he would make an appropriate successor to Trump is true. They are equally as dumb, naive and prejudiced. A diplomat he is not. Nor is he a politician. Putin and Xi must be laughing their socks off knowing this is all they have to handle.

its not really about Trump. Its about the millions of angry voters who are sick and tired of all the crap.

I can think of a hundred 'leaders' who the mainstream wanted to bump off.......however they never bumped them off. Knowing full well , that you behead the hydra and two nasty heads grow back.

Vance will be Trump 2.0................and another fella behind him will be number three. The Democrats will be out in the wilderness for ages. Certainly if the memory of Biden is longer than Biden's memory.

There is a lot of water to pass under many bridges before Vance can even be sure of being a candidate. There are some who will challenge him for sure and after the kind of stupidity we are witnessing he could have already consigned himself to history. Once the people wake up and realise that inflation is increasing because of Trump’s shortcomings they will turn on him. Congress may decide to dump him if he continues to bypass them. Vance is so dependent on Trump he will catch that cold too. The Democrats will field a sensible, steady candidate ready to restore the USA back to normality. Nobody enjoys being seen as either a bully or a pariah for long.

Pendulums swing and we are witnessing an extreme example of that. Extreme swings in one direction are usually corrected by extreme swings in the opposite one. So the future is indeed bright. This madness will disappear in a maximum of 4 years.
