Censorship and Social Media

Untrue.

Since when did combating hate crime equate to curtailing free speech?

You might wish to present both as equal but they aren't.

You can say whatever you like provided you don't impinge on the rights of others.

Perhaps you believe only you have rights.
Forcing people to believe ideologies is brainwashing. You should see how many kids in primary schools are "furries". But you won't accept it so why bother.

So on about line 8 this is about protecting vulnerable communities. What is a vulnerable community? from where I’m sitting it’s indigenous brits but hey ho you believe what you believe !

this is about protecting vulnerable communities. What is a vulnerable community ?

who do you protect ? a) the tellers of the truth ? or b) those who stand to lose out from the truth being told ?

if i say something like "community x are disproportionately represented in the statistics for ....the heroin trade, or sexual violence, or Fly Tipping, or cousin marriage, or or whatever etc..........

does that make me some kind of a criminal ? and its a harmless comment if Community X are not on the list of protected types ?

Is it also prejudiced if i identify 'Community x' with some good behaviours ? good charity works, heroic self-sacrifice or great success in business/the arts/sport/ or entertainment ?

If you say these things you are ‘on the Far Right’ and thus a fascist !

Of course it is but that has no relevance to this.

The suggestion about kids identifying as “furries” is just a myth spread by the right. It has been debunked many times.

That’s not for us to define. It’s the Irish government, but I guess it’s those groups who have previously been disadvantaged or marginalised and without an adequate voice to effect change.

“Indigenous Brits” hardly fit that category do they?

Comments like these will not be impacted by hate speech regulation. They are a welcome contribution to the debate.

When about 90% of the recent people jailed are this then clearly there is an agenda. Hamas sympathisers have been promoting hate most weekends and are not locked up are they ?

Got any evidence for that ‘about 90%’ comment?
Poetic license but the mug shots are all online if you care to search. You have to laugh about this of itself when it takes ages for any non ‘far right whitey’ to get this. It may be 80% but still a lot more than non whites. Strange as pro rata the population volume ( note this!) more non whites are in jail but after the riots it went the other way for these.
Do you wish to comment on the Hamas bit danh?

When you speak of “indigenous Brits” it means all of us. Those rioting were hardly typical and represented only a tiny proportion of us. They certainly don’t represent me.

Sympathy for the plight of the people in Gaza is widespread and, so far as I am aware, is the basis of all the protests and demonstrations. Whilst there will always be hotheads involved in protests to suggest the motivation is hatred is nonsense. There is certainly a huge and long standing divide between the approach of those in the region but the basis of it isn’t simply hatred. It’s religious belief.

Religious belief promotes most world hatred. Africa, Middle East, Jews against the rest, Asia et al. It’s not a good thing to suggest it is anything other than the root cause.

we have age restrictions on Alcohol......cos it makes people get crazy and violent. Also legal restrictions on drugs, guns, knives etc. And yet any fool can have access to any religion at age 5.

Religions have a lot to answer for. Be it between the Shankill Road & the Falls Road in Belfast, or a bloodbath in the Balkans, or the Shinto Priests blessing the Kamakaze planes in 1945. And pretty soon we will all need to look over our shoulder for merely pointing out the truth of the situation.

It’s been a passion of mine for some time that we need to ban religion from all schools and public life. Teach about religion but not teach a religion or allow one to manage a school. Schools need to promote understanding and respect within every community.

And replace it with the left/liberal religious teaching no doubt.
