Ben Chilwell

That would be good business. Jeff has been fantastic for us and I like him a lot but his best days are behind him and he has only been a small bit part player for us this season.

Better for him too surely??? To go and get some more regular game time at a big club, with guaranteed Trophies and European football.
Our most successful footballer ever, Premier League winner and now likely to pick up Scottish League winner and to play in the CL. A bit surreal when you look at it like that.

Nothing more illustrates the club's ridiculous wage structure - players warming their arses on the bench against players earning less with vital first team credentials.
Most, if not all, clubs are in the same situation. Man United have 18 players on their books who earn equal or more than our highest paid and several of the biggest earners do not get on the pitch. That is why Mainoo is looking for 9x increase in his wages

If Chilwell joins on loan what will his role be? Mitchell has been decent this season. Maybe it will be an impact player of the bench most games. And regarding Mitchell's contract I have been hearing different things some say it is expiring end of this season while others saying Palace have already extended it what is the truth?

Yeah, maybe I should have said domestic although someone will probably debunk that too🥸
Wasn't trying to debunk the suggestion, Eagle. Just thinking of other candidates and Lombardo is more fondly remembered than Davids who was the other possibility who came to mind.

No issue at all. I must admit I was trying to think of a Palace player who had won a PL title and a Scottish title and I couldn’t think of another.

I'm not sure what Manchester United have to do with our wage structure. If anything, and maybe you are suggesting such, that they are a prime example of how not to go about things. I was given the impression by the Steve Parish interview that we run a tight ship, and so it should be, disharmony in the ranks isn't conducive to good performance on the pitch.

Going back Willie Wallace won the Scottish league & cup a few times and the European Cup with Celtic. He might have won an argument at Palace but not much more.

I'm 99.9% certain his contract was extended till Summer 2027.

If Chilwell is fit (which I understand is the case) and can get match fit quickly, then I see him becoming the main LWB given his better attacking prowess and crossing ability.

Others have won more, since they left or joined us. Schlupp is way down the list.

They are always fit until they turn up at our training ground, then they immediately suffer some catastrophic injury.

If we must sign him hopefully there is a clause whereby we can return him when he gets injured.
