Ashes cricket

Starc winning this test by himself. I hope Brook, Smith, Pope and Duckett are watching him closely.
They might learn something.

Approaching 500 and a certain win.
Headingley 1981 that was a certain Aussie (500 to 1 on) win but one man on the planet thought otherwise Ian Terence Botham.

I suspect England will have already decided the game is lost, will play T-20 cricket and will be delighted to have a day away from the rigours of Test Cricket.
I ran a Boys team for Surrey and insisted that when a fish is on the hook he has the right to wriggle.

What on earth is Pope doing?!

Out for a duck in the 1st innings and has then finally succeeded in throwing his wicket away after numerous attempts to drive and repeatedly give the Aussies catching practice! Very poor indeed.

Radio 5 live xtra surely would be a better listen. Still pathetic though.

TMS is truly one of the best things in life. From the days of Brian Johnston, Blowers and CMJ…through Michael Vaughan, Simon Hughes, Swanny, Tuffers to Alistair Cook, Simon Mann and Aggers. I will have undoubtedly missed out some other greats but many an hour I have spent enjoying their superb commentary, punditry and musings.

And now Crawley has sadly followed suit! 🤨
Sadly an inevitable defeat, giving the players a much needed rest on the final day !
Before the tour the narrative was about England's star-studded batting line-up and Australia's ageing squad with most in their 30s !!!! I had no confidence that England would bring home the 'Ashes', indeed I expected a rout.

More time for a bit of golf.

Micheal Vaughan summing up england on TMS

The problem with Ollie now is you can read his innings and you can see what exactly he is going to do. If I can see it from here, I'm pretty sure that the bowlers can see it. You just can't play that way at this level.
England will always play this way, but surely if they want to be a good team they have to go up and down in the gears.
My disappointment with this team in the last couple of years is they continue to make mistakes when they just start to get on top.

Over-paid, over-hyped.

My decision not to pay to watch this humiliation is more justified by the day.

Baz-ball wasn't the answer.
