Ashes cricket

Anyone else getting bored(maybe the wrong word, it's anything but boring, 'Frustrated' maybe) by Baz-ball? It just seems to be an excuse to play Sh*t test cricket.

With just a little restraint and intelligence, this England team could dominate everyone. Aussies currently showing us how it should be done.

Yep. Too gung ho with no obvious plan B. Bazball can be very effective when it works, but they need to read the game better and learn when to reign it in. We give away far too many easy wickets. Sometimes in Test cricket you just need to knuckle down and grind out the rough periods.

I'm still haunted by the way we threw away the Lord's Test against Australia in 2023. Trying to hit every short ball for 6 with 5 fielders behind the batsman. Had we ducked the ball for a few overs we'd have tired the bowlers, lost no wickets and cruised it.

Australia showing us how to play Test cricket right now. Meanwhile we have Harry Brooke who is the supposedly the worlds best batsman treating it like a T20. It's so frustrating as we have such quality players. They just play braindead cricket too often. At the moment, it's looking like another whitewash. You'd have been furious as an England fan spending all that time money and effort to get to Perth for the first Test.

Better performance with the bat thus far in Brisbane but we're well behind.

Rant over. Hope they prove me wrong.

Plus the TNT commentary is a real struggle to listen to. The former Ashes players are decent but the whole experience is spoiled by the awful Ebony-Jewel Cora-Lee Camellia Rosamond Rainford-Brent.

Her lack of cricketing insight is embarrassing and her commentary is cringeworthy. Just this morning she said the catch to Duckett ‘didn’t quite carry’ (wrong) and the one to Carse was at a ‘catchable height’! 😳 No s*** Sherlock! The general blandness of her comments is annoying beyond belief.

Radio 5 live xtra surely would be a better listen. Still pathetic though.
 
Starc winning this test by himself. I hope Brook, Smith, Pope and Duckett are watching him closely.
They might learn something.

Approaching 500 and a certain win.
