Bilal El Khannouss

Rummaging around the Leicester forums it sounds like he has promise but is not regularly delivering on it yet. That concerns me if he is the man the club is planning to replace Ebs with. We have Esse, Franca and JRS who have promise (albeit two of those might leave), what we need is someone who can hit the ground running. I'll admit to not having seen this lad play (that I remember?) so hopefully the assessment of the Leicester fans is not accurate.

Conor Gallagher is likely joining Spurs- or if not then Newcastle. There’s little chance of seeing him in a Palace shirt again
Why? If we put in an offer comparable to those two, my guess is he would bite our hand off.
We are PALACE.
FA Cup winners, dumping Man City.
Community shield winners beating Liverpool!!!
Shareholder net worth $20 billion plus.
We all need to wake up to our sudden new status.

Agree with our present standing, and yes Gallagher , would come to us.
Problem I feel is would we pay for him if those two were waving their thick wallets at him.

Gallagher isn't good enough.

He is obviously used to playing in Europe and so he probably thinks his profile is better suited to joining a team that is already in the Champions League, not Palace. But he had a good time on loan with us; would he be a regular starter elsewhere though?

Now that’s an interesting proposition. Conor could play in several positions including the role alongside Adam.

If we get the reported fee for Eze that should leave money available for another No 10.

We need to move on and this sounds the best option I’ve heard!!
We have William Hughes for that role - and he's mustard. Conor can play the 10 role though.

Disagree, he was mustard that season he played for us. Especially in the #10 role with a bit more freedom to get involved attacking wise.
If he was that good, he's still be at Chelsea.

He would be a bench player and would not be worth the money.

Wasn't he Player of the Year? He's hard to assess - I do like him but his non stop hustling style, although eye catching, can sometimes mask the fact that he's not achieving that much. He scores more goals than Will Hughes but then so does Tyrick Mitchell.

You may be right, but I suspect some posters may be able to pick holes in the argument highlighted.

For me, I am nostalgic for that first half season that earned him his call-up, made him PoTY and meant there was never a chance in hell he would play for us again.

If he could bring that back.

For just one season...

He was one of chelsea's best players the season before he left and was also captain for some games.

Chelsea sold him due to psr, as he was a homegrown player.

And it's not like he moved to a c'ship club, he did join spain's 3rd biggest club for £50m!!
