Children being raped at a rate of more than one a week for 25 years and no record was kept? This seems unlikely. Was anyone keeping a record of the numbers or just trying to handle over stretched case loads?

Who said it wasn’t reported? It was but the way things were regarded and handled then was very different to today. Much of what was seen was suspicious behaviour, rather than actual evidence of abuse, so the police didn’t do anything and social services didn’t exist. My own knowledge was sketchy then and today I cannot even recall any names.Oh dear! So in reality you know of historical abuse, which you claim but haven’t reported. Have you considered that even if the perpetrators are dead as likely, that some abused boys might still be mentally affected and have a whole life affected by dint of the truth not being told.
Have you never thought that closure can help even decades later. I think wissie that is very poor and doesn’t put you in a good light. Preaching to all about how righteous you are yet allowing so much pain.
A visit to the police station should be a priority to help your fellow pensioners!
Individual case files would have existed. Whether anyone was tasked with doing statistical analyses is what’s unlikely. When your department is stretched to over capacity you use every resource at the coal face, not in the office.Children being raped at a rate of more than one a week for 25 years and no record was kept? This thread is reaching appalling levels of excuses.
Didnt mr lydon highlight saville and got laughed at 🤔You are 100% spot on and Wisbech’ posts in particular have been both pathetic and appalling.
I’m no TR fan boy (he has lots of faults) but he was correct on this issue and was highlighting the appalling ‘Grooming Gang’ abuse and associated cover-up that was happening ALONG time ago.
He was unquestionably one of the first public voices that persistently highlighted what had been happening and helped turned the tide against the denials and cover-up. It’s not unsurprising that Wisbech was one of the main ones in denial on this Forum and his posts then, were equally as pathetic and misguided as they are now.
Which coalface activity could possibly have deserved more resources?Individual case files would have existed. Whether anyone was tasked with doing statistical analyses is what’s unlikely. When your department is stretched to over capacity you use every resource at the coal face, not in the office.
I don’t doubt that the department managers were aware of a tide of need and pleading with their political masters for more resources. Which weren’t available because of squeezes on local authority budgets.
Will be having a lot of porridge for breakfast! You are 100% spot on and Wisbech’ posts in particular have been both pathetic and appalling.

Time will tell.I don’t see TR being charged with anything regarding the St. Pancras incident and I think a jury may well find him Not Guilty of the 2x harassment causing fear of violence charges he is due to stand trial on next year.
Metaphorically I meant as with TR and paxman.Your recollection might be different to mine. I wasn’t aware he was laughed at, more that the presenter quickly moved on and then the comments were ignored. Which now turns out to have been all part of the cover up by the BBC and other media outlets.
Time will tell.
When there are multiple coal faces and only a limited number of miners and pick axes you will get a variety of answers from people with a variety of priorities. Most times though people don’t realise that it’s impossible to satisfy every priority all the time and they just complain about the ones being neglected. If at the time the scale of the problem wasn’t well understood then for some other priorities would have been seen as more important.Which coalface activity could possibly have deserved more resources?
What is of greater priority than the organised mass-rape of children? When there are multiple coal faces and only a limited number of miners and pick axes you will get a variety of answers from people with a variety of priorities. Agreed, his post is an absolute disgrace.Yet more absolute garbage!
Unbelievable.
Before placing too much reliance on what this guy says, just consider who he is.Really good read that and no real surprises. Even for someone who kind of gets the intentions (and after Southport I kind of get why they did what they did with the Liverpool crowd incident) I don’t think anyone sensible of any political sway can say it’s been handled well in any sense and politics has ruined proper policing out of fear of the potential racial tensions.
