I'm not sure I get it.Restore is about representing the actual right. They will vote Restore but what Farage is doing is more his Thatcherite 'city boy' fever dream.
Farage is going to spend his time looking for MPs from other parties and basically the boomer class, he's not representing the youth coming through. As I said, nothing Reform are going to do will address the real problems and most of us know that.....but if it can stop the rot, it'll be something.
Currently Farage is our only hope to escape the progressives ruling the country so by Restore not being a party it won't wreck it but instead represent what the base is after Farage actually buggers off....which with Farage is as soon as he loses interest.
It's about the grass roots and the right coming through....most of the emerging talent is in the DR anyway....Charlie Downes in that video for example....already used by the media.
I know you're not interested but I thought I'd explain the intent.
Reform is the only right wing party who can win the next election, or at least get a significant number of seats.
Discussions about ideology or how to move forward are irrelevant unless you get those seats in Parliament.
Rupert Lowe can write the greatest manifesto imaginable for rescuing Britain, but it will be like whistling in the wind without any power to act on it.
Farage will be there for the next election, and after we see the results, we can talk about what comes next.
We can't afford to screw this opportunity up. The window is small. Trying to run before we can walk seems very counterproductive to me.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Lowe welcomed back into the fold if Reform do well.
