‘The key is to get rid of Solazzo.’
For Solazzo, substitute Textor.
If Textor is out of the club the question of ‘control or significant influence’ goes out the window and there’s no conflict with Lyon’s involvement in the same competition.
Can a buyer be found though with the complicated existing ownership/executive structure though?
It’s a bit of a Catch 22 situation in some ways.
For Zaza, read Blitzer: if Textor cannot be removed does that not render Blitzer part of the problem as well given his interest in Brondby (who are in the Conference League)?
