I think this thread was created out of transfer season when nothing was really happening and it’s just become ‘the’ thread. Agreed it would be nice to go back to individual threads when there is actually any news.

I'm sure I'll get shut down from some of you for this but could we please lock this thread and go back to individual posts for rumours. Thats the whole point in having the transfer forum, rather than traipsing through unrelated waffle on one post until you find anything worthwhile reading. Just a suggestion.

Im pretty sure you can still open threads on individual transfers and transfer rumours if there is any, but if you're going to open a new thread on every rumour threre is going to be alot of threads and 99 percent of them will be stuff that comes out of a bull arse .

there are a few decent looking out of contract players knocking about, calvert-lewin & lindelof jump out as interesting options.

probably wont go for either, but both proven PL quality.

Between the pair of them they were absent through injury for nigh on 200 days this last season.

I used to rate Calvert-Lewin but these days his career feels like it has never even reached Andy Carroll standard.

hence i think they would be good experienced players on a free. would give the squad good competition.

yes both have had injury problems, but without that they about be looking above a midtable team.

I have not heard of any interest in the pair.

Serial underperformer who only ever had one stand out season under Ancelotti (if you can believe that he actually managed Everton).
Wouldn't take him as it shows he really needs top tier man management to reach his potential.

Calvert-Lewin scored 16 PL goals in Ancelotti's second and last season in charge, 2020-21.

It’s the same as last summer I’ve heard. Clubs get a month to activate his £68m buyout clause otherwise he’s a Palace player.

Manure have also been linked with Semenya and a striker. Don’t know where they are going to get all this money from unless they sell some of their cr@p somehow!!

Some years ago my wife elected to have letters on the back of her Palace Top. at that time the prices were:-

for each number £7.00
as many letters as wanted £13.00

It may be that letters are still at a fixed price irrespective of quantity.

It can be turned down by a player, otherwise Olise would’ve been a Chelsea player a year earlier than him leaving for Munich.

Rashford has popped up again. This seems unlikely:
A. The Mancs want £40 m for him.
B. He earns X3 more than anyone at Palace.
C. He's 28 in October so probably only has one big move to come and realistically we probably aren't it.
D. Barcelona are also linked with him - although this might be a little bit made up.
At his best he can be a good player but often isn't at his best.
