FA cup predictions

With Wharton confirmed as fit it seems likely that he will start.

The question is who starts with him.

In reality all 4 central midfield players are likely to play a role taking into account the possibility of bookings and the need to avoid 2nd yellows, as well as the need for fresh legs during the game.

I would like to see us play well, but have waited so long to see us win a major trophy that I'd take a fluky 95th minute winner.

Bookies are being very safe with their odds. Not even a hint of generosity. 🙁
I want a fair result. Not due to a dodgy refereeing decision or a player falling down in the penalty area.

3-1 palace

I never register to other fans forums but thought why not, I’ll have everything crossed for you tomorrow. Sunderland fan myself so understand how hard it is when you don’t support one of the very big boys.

I’ve really enjoyed watching palace. I tend to skip a lot of pl games but always make time to watch you lot play, there’s a lot of turd in the pl but palace play a nice brand of football, very watchable and highly entertaining.

Good luck lads and lasses, these beat us in the league cup but it was a very different city team snd ofc we were no where near your level.

Good luck, one last big push 💪
Would love to have you back up here, if only to put Saudi United in their place

Thanks for that Willo old chap. We'd all be really despondent had you predicted a win. 😉
Should I be proved wrong yet again I will be ecstatic and will celebrate in style with copious amounts of intoxicating liquid. Sobriety will not be on the agenda.

I fervently hope that should we score or indeed lift the trophy, those around me will NOT behave like over-galvanised gerbils, jumping around, giving me a bear hug, shaking me like a rag doll and ruffling my hair with some ferocity as happened on my previous visit to see our team at Wembley. Had I been wearing dentures on that occasion they would have left their moorings resembling a projectile.

I feel like as fans if we turn up looking for a banging day out and to have lots of fun, instead of standing around biting our nails, that'll translate to the team.

So for me I'm going along trying to feel as relaxed as possible, high on a couple of non-alcoholic beers and full of pointless songs no one else is going to join in with...ohhhhhhh Andy Johnson's magic he has a magic hat...

I feel sick. Physically sick. Honestly so nervous. I’m getting there early to soak up the atmosphere as it builds. Don’t care how we do it but I would give all I’ve got for us to win. Feeling like this can’t be good for your health.

Have you got anything you can smoke to ease the nerves?

Admins: don't yellow card me, I was thinking he could smoke a kipper or something, honestly.

Really unsure myself, we’ve lost the early season spark and confidence tbh, maybe with a bit luck, mind I’m not sure how we’d survive back in the Pl anyway, sometime I watch us dnd think damn we’d get absolutely creamed in the PL 😂

That’s next week though , tomorrow I’m gonna sit down with a drink and watch you lot win a trophy, I’m feeling quite confident you’re gonna do it tbh.

I’m really not sure how I’ve become a bloody closet palace fan 🤨 I just really enjoy watching how you play the game, I really hope your manager doesn’t get to bogged down tactically and just goes for it, I think that’s when you’re at your most dangerous, when you’d just go out and play ya know.

But will you leave 8 minutes before the end?

A season defined by 3 Man City Games:

Sat 7th Dec CPFC 2 : Man C 2
The first game where I noticed we were starting to get our shape sorted. We kept pushing Man C to play through the centre where Lerma and Hughes were excellent. Man C only had 3 decent efforts, scored twice and hit the post

Sat 12th April Man C 5 : CPFC 2
The game where OG had some kind of meltdown (thankfully not repeated since) and went full Roy Hodgson hauling off Mateta and packing the midfield whilst in the lead (still love you Roy, thank you)!

Sat 17th May
I'm too nervous to predict a score, but I'm afraid I share Willo's sense of foreboding.

Man C are unbeaten in their last 10 games (All competitions), Haaland is back in the side. They have a strong squad with quality in their ranks and have the 'Big Game' experience.
I am firmly of the opinion that we will be very much second-best on the day, possibly decisively beaten.
When asked for a prediction today I burbled 4-1.

For a closet Palace fan, I like the cut of your jib. My Mum was a Sunderland lass, one of 13 kids from a two up, two down terrace close to the shipyards. Tough life.

So, whilst I'm tired through lack of sleep and exceedingly nervous, I too feel confident of a Palace win. I suggest the result might be 2-1.

Thanks for your support and good luck on your Wembley trip.

I’m from the same area as your mam. East end right next to the river. Same style of house but only one sister for me, my mother was born in the same house and had 9 siblings, dunno how they done it.
I’ll not be at Wembley, I don’t have a season ticket so couldn’t get a ticket, tbh I’m not to fussed more a shame for my son ya know.

Good luck pal 💪

I had 80 quid at 16s before we played millwall. Need it to come in to pay for my 5 tickets (robbing Wembley keunts)

Just had a feeling all season we would win it. I can't change now although it is becoming quite nerve racking. I put a bet on - not much, way back at 20-1. I'm not much of a betting person but, as I said, I just felt we'd win the cup this year. I have no idea of a score.
I have a feeling they might score first but that we come back and win. 2-1 to us, pure guess.
