The bbc, again.

I wouldn’t classify that as a breach of political impartiality rules, which is what is really being discussed. This was, in someone’s judgment, an error by a programme maker. Very much though also a matter of opinion.
Unfortunately the opinion that counts is the one of the organisation responsible for the decision.

It obviously is, but it still directed at one incident in one programme, probably involving one person’s judgement. Hardly the same as the predetermined political presentation of the type the underlies GBNews.

However you dress it up they were found to have broken broadcast impartiality rules by those responsible for making the decision. One incident in one programme is all it takes. As the Trump case demonstrates: one incident, one programme, one lawsuit.

As the Trump case demonstrates those determined to try to make political capital and/or financial gain out of someone's error are a growing problem. Trump's case will fizzle out, because all he really wanted was to divert attention from his own failings, and he will be gone soon enough anyway.

And what does Ofcom stand to gain from finding them in breach of the rules?

I think we can file this under tell us something we didn't know already.

I am not blaming the BBC if someone is determined to misrepresent themselves to be in the audience of a TV show I guess they can do that quite easily.

Back in the day Momentum told it's supporters to call in to radio shows and pretend to be Joe Average Working Man rather than Tarquin the Corbynister.

As in "I don't know much about politics but Jeremy Corbyn whatta guy".

"She (Braver man) was accused of 'reinforcing the racist argument' and 'being racist against herself'"

....like the left are with white people then

A dull trick from both ends of the spectrum since time Immemorial

Were they really duped? If so, Could they not have stopped filming when it became obvious? Or is that to obvious?

You don’t think some of the referrals made to Ofcom about the BBC are malicious?

I think there are some who watch their output solely to identify potential complaints.
And that doesn't apply to GB News? OK.
The difference being that one of them is a dedicated news outlet and the BBC has a remit to entertain.
