Johnson may have come good. We'll never know. Palace saw a way out of that deal and understandably jumped at it.
Nketiah made an unselfish decision at Leeds. It turned out to be the wrong one. Had Sarr scored we'd all be saying what a team player he is so thats frankly pathetic if thats the biggest put down of EN you can come up with.
Finally, if you think JSL is a donkey you clearly know nothing about footballers and strikers in particular. They need time to settle, they need time to work out how the manager wants them to play but most importantly they need to get used to their feeders. They need to know who they are playing with and what kind of balls will be fed into them. Up till very recently all the attacking creators around Strand-Larson have been changing making life even more difficult.
Finally, Strikers like no other position are confidence players. If he scores one goal he is far more likely to score in the next one. And so on. His confidence is growing game by game. I'd expect JSL to do well this season with a settled midfield around him.

In relation to the Nketiah chance I would respectfully disagree. In the away section we had the perfect side on view and Eddie was put clean through ahead of the defender, he didn’t open up and you could see he was only at about 80%. He looked to be reluctant to sprint at full speed. He was clean through and had a one on one with the goalkeeper yet he turned back inside and only then looked for a team mate.

It didn’t look to be unselfish play at the time, he bottled it and I imagine he was worried about his hamstring, hence not going flat out.

Understood, fair enough.

I was going by my view of it at the game and also based on his general lack of sprinting and closing down.

It will be interesting to see if he stays fit during the international break and is in our squad for Forest / Lyon.
