Sage is sage

We’re scoring a decent number of goals for the first time in years. Just need to fix the other side of the equation and we will be in good shape. Trust in Sage.
Indeed. Sadly we are also conceding at an unprecedented rate which means while we are scoring, our opponents are scoring more. So we are losing. A lot

From what i hear , Steve isnt happy at the way he is publicly criticising players and naming and shaming them , especially the younger delicate ones.

On another note , i see his replacement at his former club Lens have sacked their manager after 4 games in charge .
Steve should be kept away from team management matters.

Reportedly he wasn't happy Canvot was omitted from the squad, not the team. I was surprised as indeed others may have been. It's an opinion. He's entitled to his although I take on board the back your manager stance.
I'm not impressed by Sage. It's all a bit wishy washy. I don't know what he's trying to achieve, apart from the obvious. I'm wondering about fitness levels which were good last year and as we all acknowledge he needs to sort that back 3 or go to a 4. Tomorrow won't be good and I'm dreading the Leeds game.
So who in his place you ask, well you've got me there. It'll be Dyche or similar. Howe wouldn't go near the job I suspect.

Should we be thrashed at Leeds, taken apart by a competent Forest ,me thinks it would be appropriate to appoint a proven Relegation Fighter like Dyche.,unless there is evidence of significant improvements in performance over those next two games.Remember, this business a results driven business.

As I have stated in a different discussion, Frank lost 8 of his first 10 Championship games at Brentford and Iraola only won 1 of his first 10 PL games at Bournemouth.

Just seen a article on villa on sky , basically saying will villa get better once the new signings settle in , which you know what the expert said , pity they never except that we are in the same position , and also we have a new manager , seems strange they look for reasons why the villa and spuds will be ok but just look down on us as 2nd class citizen again

Perhaps their judgement is based on the signings and the overall squads of A.Villa and Tottenham and that both their managers are experienced, particularly in the PL.
Emery of course has had successes in Europe and has won 'Ligue 1' with PSG.

If we lose against Leeds, Notts and Brighton he has to go imo, Get someone like the Ginger one (old Skool) and go to a 4231, we played much better with that formation.

Go with:

Henderson

khalaili

Richards
Disasi (he would have served his 3 match ban)/Tomiyasu

Mitchell

Wharton
Kamada

Sarr
Pino
McNeil

Strand Larsen

idk

We should have a decent chance playing with 13 players.

I suspect the level of performances might be a factor.
Should we be defeated narrowly on the back of spirited and improved performances the 'Green shoots of recovery' might enter the equation.

Nothing against the guy personally but don't believe his charactor fits our club. If we lose to Forrest I think he will be gone and Franks will take his place.

Wouldn't it be Ironic if after the Leeds match Sarge was relieved of his duties and Dyche took over , then for the Florest match we would have an ex Palace Manager against a ex Florest Manager , My money would be on Dyche not the smug Austrian asshole . All hypothetical of course .

nah that's far too early. We'll just be in a new manager merry-go-round era if we start making panic decisions like that. Needs longer. It would be so depressing to get someone like Dyche in. Might as well get Hodgson back. I'd probably stop going to games for a bit I'd be so disappointed.

Such is the fickle nature of the modern football era that were we to get a couple of favourable results in our next few games, the tone would shift to talk of breaking the top 6.

I think if Dyche took over, I might just take a break from football. Seems like a decent guy, but I barely got through Roy's final stint, and he at least had Olise and Eze.
