If Hackney, does want Everton, it’s probably best if he goes there. If the story is just the Everton machine at work ,then he is worth trying for. If last summers window is to go by £20/25mill is not over the top for a young player with his talent

He's in the last year of his contract
He's 'already' 24 (in a couple of weeks), so certainly doesn't have a ceiling as high as say Wharton
Hackney is a long term target for us from Freedman's time.
He must be aware of our interest and I doubt we'd be pursuing him if we weren't in with a chance.
