Kamada

Kamada has been a vital cog in the Glasner wheel for some time.
Let us hope we can convince him to remain at the club.
Agreed. Where else would he go?

Japan? It's a step down maybe the move after his one.
Middle East or USA? See above.
Italy? Nope tried and failed.
Germany? Strong maybe but with which club?
PL? Always possible but it would only be a sideways move to a similar club.

My hope is he is waiting to see who the new manager is.

Hardly a scoop but Sky reckon we'll try to convince him to stay. And Wharton "for another year".
My guess would be more along the lines of it depends upon OG next plan, if Oli goes str8 into another job then Kamada is probably going to join him there, however, if it turns out that Oli is going to take a year out to consider his options then we may get another season out of Kamada.

He is after a big payday, no transfer fee and bumper wages thank you Monsieur Bosman.

I hope this finally silences the Kamada detractors who really don't know what they are talking about. The guy is class, an essential cog beside Wharton in the midfield. We don't have any other midfield players of the calibre of these two, it would be smart, if possible, to keep this pairing together.

I think Kamada definitely struggled with the physicality and intensity of the PL upon arriving.

He looked both a bit frail on the pitch and unable to cope with the pace... therefore a liability and sh!t, hence the criticism.

He has improved/adapted to these conditions and the more he does, the more his quality shines through.

I always said he had quality, even when he was still fresh and I still stand by that. I'd be delighted if we could keep him and Wharton for next season.

Fair play to him. Kamada has improved significantly, especially over the last few months, and most notably in Europe. He was excellent again last night.

I don't regret any of my criticisms of him, though, as I don't think think I was wrong at the time. For me, in his first season he went from being awful to being just about OK (albeit with very good performances in the FA Cup semi and final last year) and, this season, was OK with a bit of a dip when the team dipped, up till he got injured. Since he came back he has been good in the league, and very good in Europe, again with eye-catching performances in the big games.

Is that a gradual process of adaptation to English football? If so, it would be a real shame to lose him now that his learning curve is complete.

Or, does he try harder on the big stage so as to get his next big contract? He wouldn't be the first. Problem is, if we give him another two or three years here, will his levels drop?

Or, does he always try his best but is only good enough to play very well in the lowest European level, and to be average at best, overall, in the premier league? The two are very different, both in style and speed, and we play an awful lot more Premier League football than we do European football.

Anyway, whereas I was very keen to see the back of him a few months ago I am now very happy for him to stay. Its great when players improve. I hope Pino follows the example, and of course Johnson. Given the need to both strengthen and enlarge the first team squad, especially in midfield, I would be surprised if the club didn't try to keep Kamada now.

What makes you so sure, you know what you're talking about? Hmmm

At the very least I can see that Kamada has played an important role in helping us win both the FA Cup and the Conference, arguably with MOTM performances. He also plays at international level and will be representing his country in the upcoming World Cup. He's not as bad as some clown on here suggests.

There you go again, insulting fellow supporters, all of whom have an 'opinion' just because you don't like those opinions, doesn't give you the right to insult people, nes par?

i could easily see him moving to either a club in the top 8 of the table or a big club with a bigger bank-account (& stadium) than us......Spurs, Everton etc. In Form footballers are always looking to climb up to a higher Peer group. He wants to be with somebody gunning to Win the Europa League, win the Prem, or CL qualification.
If he has a good World Cup there will be a queue of big clubs fighting to sign him.

Kamada did struggle to settle in the Prem he didn’t deserve the boos he got around the ground in those early day. By the end of last season he was on fire and had undoubtedly turned opinions - Semi vs Villa & Final vs City, he really did dominate on the pitch and his work rate allowed others to shine.

He was excellent once again last night and I was delighted to see him celebrate at the end. He did wave to the fans and if that is his goodbye then good luck wherever he goes as in my opinion I think he has been key to us enjoying the success we have in the last 12 months.

I also saw he was first to leave the pitch, on his own again, seems like a quiet and hardworking professional..!!

For what it’s worth Sky, report Kamada wants to stay in London. I for one would want him here next season. He now goes to the World Cup, a huge platform for the highest level of football talent, his ability won’t be missed by many , and he should get offers. So is this why no new contract yet?

I've heard reports, not from Sky, that he's secretly a Millwall fan though.

So he may be staying in London, South London, just not with us.
