Maybe all mentally ill people should wear some sort of badge ( a yellow star for example) in case of arrest after a stabbing incident so they can be more easily identified. It can't be hard to discover who they are since the news comes out instantly following any event.

I think some of us can remember when mentally ill people were supervised in secure locations, leaving the public to go about their business in relative safety. Things have changed, self-medicating and assigned care in the community staff, can’t prevent the odd unbalanced person from carrying out an atrocity and now they have ‘a cause’ to justify their actions. The ‘voices in their head’ have been replaced by an ideology. So, what’s the answer?

why are there relatively so few 'mentally ill' non-muslims doing infamous public violent crimes that need to be accounted for ?

"They are just pointing out the fact that the police spend more time on investigating the threats from the far right. You may want to dismiss this as either irrelevant or inconsequential but clearly the police don’t and they are better placed to judge than us."
This is the whole point though. Why are they spending more time investigating people who, however much you might dislike them, aren't noted for committing atrocities like 7/7 or Manchester Arena.

I’m not whatsoever. I provided some factual context to the figure George gave about prevent and now right wing terrorism is being completely downplayed.

Do you think that lad should have just been allowed to get on with it? What do you think would have happened if he had managed to get a gun that wasn’t part of a police set up?

The reality of modern Britain is multi-faceted and you have to be grounded in reality to understand where all threats are coming from - not just looking in one direction as you and others on here seem to want to.

I posted the stats to point out that far more were right wing extremists referred than Islamist.

All I’m doing is posting stats and facts. You thinking it’s ’for balance’ is your opinion. If you provide some evidence otherwise I’ll take it seriously.
