Oh yeah, I'm certainly not suggesting the money we made on sales was spent well! At least we spent what we made, though.

I think the greater probability is iraola having his sights set higher than palace or Bournemouth. I'm surprised he isn't more strongly linked with big jobs.
I link him with a big job. 💩

Could be rubbish, if true, prepare for Ange or Popovic
Could work out with Popovic - Jedi is part of his coaching staff for the World Cup so maybe they can team up for us too.

Think this is, as you suggested, rubbish. The website looks dodgy as hell and I can't find the story on any other news outlets.

Jedinak only joined the socceroos setup in Jan and surely will want to be there for the world cup.

Happy to be proven wrong though, I'm sure he'd make an excellent addition to the staff.

Yes, my signature sums it up.

I read a while back that Tony Popovic was making a real name for himself in coaching. It would be a gamble because of a lack of coaching experience at this level but every new appointment carries a level of risk.
I wouldn't want Parish to bring him in out of obsession for re employing ex players though and lets face it, (Ambrose, Johnson, Bright, to list just a few) he has got form for that.

If His preferred playing style and coaching methods are a good fit to what we have in place and Parish feels after talking to him and experts that know him that he can do the job I'm all for giving big Tone the opportunity.
Its a name that enthuses me more than quite a few others mentioned!

Yes, I agree, his style, tactics and ability are more important, after all he left Palace 20 years ago so it's not as though the players will care one way or the other. If it works out his previous association is a bonus.

It feels like if Glasner didn't have a reputation before, he does now.

I can see him cross to the continent - I can't see him staying in the prem - however I would I say it be peak Glasner to go to Brighton.
Oh god 😂 yeah, I can see it. Stranger things have happened. I don’t think Bloom would put up with as much as Parish puts up with though.

He couldn’t complain about signings, they’ve probably got the busiest revolving doors in the division.

Yep, very much doubt Mile is on his way right now, although he would be a great addition to the staff if he was.

Out of interest I had a look what Dikgacoi is up to these days, he’s been manager of Witbank Spurs for the last seven years now. Must have something about him to stay that long, it’s rare at any level of the game these days, and SA is known for high turnover.

I always think of those two together. They were great talents and we were very lucky to have both at that stage in our history.

The latter, Dyche is defensive ,thuggish football.
If all Burnley could afford was thugs then you play thuggish football. Dyche did a great job with very limited resource and even managed to get them into Europe. Everton and Forest were unstable “basket cases” but he kept their heads above water. Similar to Hodgson in some respects but he is pragmatic and a safe pair of hands.

All very true, but I think Sean is wedded to the philosophy regardless of what resources he has available.

Big Sam always gets labelled that way, but he had a different style at Bolton with the right players for it.

But they’ve both spoken on it, Sam was always a case of fitting to the players available, like you describe… from what I’ve heard from Dyche before I think even if he managed Real Madrid it would be the same “Dycheball” we all recognise.

.... but Dyche is not the direction of travel for us we are NOT a basket case and we do Not want to see negative football being played but I did not know Burnley were in Europe.
