Burnley thread

The good news is Fulham have the smallest pitch in the Premier League…. So we should make it to at least the 60th minute before everyone is blowing out of their ar$e.

Great result. So what's the strategy here. Can't afford any mess up against Shelbourne, so Oli must rotate against Fulham or City. I'm thinking he will play Reserves against City so you'll see Uche, Esse, Benitez and Co in that game.
Beat Fulham, Shelbourne and Kups, life is good.

I honestly see no indication of Glasner rotating heavily. Ha hasn’t done it in small amounts so far so I would be surprised to see it wholesale, even if we get desperate.

He's made a point of saying he tries to win every game. We won't see much rotation unfortunately.

Winning an away game in December on a midweek has to be something to cherish . Regardless of the performance the players were all pulling their weight and fighting for the points . The pitch looked very slow , both sides passing was well short in the first half ,it improved in the second half as they got used to the pace of the pitch .

Got to be happy with our nights work even if it was a terrible match

Thank goodness we were playing Burnley tonight. Our keeper, 3 central defenders, 2 wingbacks were the reason we won. As for the rest of them including subs (other than Canvot) were absolutely terrible.

There comes a time where we just need to throw a game. Should have done it against man u.

Even the big clubs throw games now and then.

Wonder what's up with devenny someone said earlier he looks miserable when he comes on lately. He's prob at the age where he needs to be starting week in week out for a championship side.

Match Of The Day put us on after Tuesday night’s game between Fulham and City - I’ve never seen a match played on an earlier night shown before any of the matches played on the night of transmission.

Then the commentator describes how Henderson saved Mateta’s shot!

Aside from taking a cracking penalty, I just don't think he's very good. I've seen nothing to suggest he's premiership material. Like you say, he feels like a reliable Championship level player. Unless I'm missing something?

Hendo, Richards, Lacroix, Guehi, are amazing and must be getting bit fed up with the attack missing everything. Makes their jobs twice as hard. But they are amazing.

Midfield so disappointing this season. Wharton is nothing special lately (and I don't know what all the fuss is about), Kamada and Pino are just not at this level and don't seem to improve at all. Iyt baffles me what anyone sees in Kamada. He doesn't look interested and is far too lightweight. On top of that ZERO goals from midfield in 14 games (plus last season). I always feel better when Hughes and Lerma are there but still no goals.

Munoz and Mitchell hold their own but nothing like they were (Cup run last year for example) in terms of getting down the wing and crossing it in.

Strikers are trying but just nothing there. JOP's hold up play is still immense but shooting boots gone and Nketiah is just not doing it.

I accept Glasner is special but he's not using more than 14 of his squad ... sir why have them?

We are flattering ourselves being 5th to be honest.

Such a shame.
