Palace fans causing disorder

I don't think he was claiming that Palace is left leaning, but that we do not have the large racist violent element in our fanbase like Chelsea and Rangers. Obviously there are going to be a number of under-educated Reform types among our fans but they are a small minority.
Facepalm moment, but good because more chance of your fvckwit politics will be kicked out of Westminster for several terms.

Hang on a minute here... a bunch of Reform voter types attack the HF and you criticise those who were attacked? And who says the HF are anti-British? Of course they're not; but what they aren't is racist morons. Have you noticed the Palace team? Quite a few black faces isn't there?
Laughable opinion seeing as Reform have distanced themselves from Tommy Robinson. Just shows you know f all.

Have you walked through Croydon and seen what mass immigration has done to the area ? And you think you're on the right side of this ?

And I've never ever witnessed a palace fan being racially abused by another palace fan at a match.
Ah, it didn't happen then

Chelsea are Right wing. We are not. I would guess we are centrist, with some left and some right. But the BBS is a Liberal looney quagmire.

forget about the colour of the players for a second, some Russian clubs are racist far Right and even they have players of colour. Any club is its fans, their opinions, their tribalism, their politics.
Regarding the OP, its unfortunate there was violence in Strasbourg. Its not really the Palace way.
The BBS really isn't that extreme at all, it's Centrist Dad HQ with a fair share of Blairites. But I suppose compared to this place with its politics section like Stormfront I suppose it could appear like leftypol...

It’s a green party parade of idiots on the BBS, and lots of us wouldn’t trust any of them. Bunch of weasels.

I have witnessed trouble from both groups fighting each other previously. The last time I recall was Southampton away where they were fighting in the street and then took it to inside the stadium, just as the game kicked off. I have no clue what sparked the fighting but was pathetic.

I personally do not think that the animosity towards the HF is anything to do with their political views but stems from when fans had been forced to move from their seats to accommodate their moving to the area of the Holmesdale. Also, they have not covered themselves in glory at some away games where they have attempted to bully people from their seats. They tried it once with my group and were warned it was not a good idea and was never attempted again! (And no we are not from the Addo Lol)

I was in Lublin and the atmosphere in the square prior to the match and at the stadium was great. Also had a great time after the match at one of the hotel bars in the square where all the Palace got on.

Also attended the Irish bar in Lublin but the atmosphere was completely different there and left early as small fights broke out amongst the Palace fans. One thing of note was that there was a distinct lack of HF fans in Lublin and they were not in the Irish bar so can't be blamed for the trouble in there. However, the small group of HF in the square prior to the match were as good as gold.

Despite having 10000+ loyalty points I was unable to get a ticket for Strasbourg. What is galling, if true, is that I have been told there were several fans in the Palace end who clearly did not have many points nor Away STs and were the ones instrumental in the trouble.

Hopefully, those who will be lucky enough to go to Dublin will not see a repeat of the problems in Strasbourg.

It's made several papers and reports have reached the Irish police for Shelbourne. That's nice isn't it.
Dread to think of the pond life going to Dublin and embarrassing us with sectarian drivel and anti Irish nonsense. Hopefully we see none of it and Palace fans do ourselves proud as usual

These European trips should be a chance for us to make friends on the continent and boost our reputation, not racially abusing our own and chucking chairs around a square

Let’s hope the club are able to act against those responsible. If this carries on we, the fans, will be banned following Palace abroad, well those lucky enough to get tickets

So 'Centrist Dad Blairites' - sounds so safe and reasonable, doesn't it? Bless.

But surely you can't mean the same Blair who killed a million Brown people in Iraq, all based on a lie?
Where does that inconvenient truth fit into this 'Left/Right' pantomime understanding of the world?
Is it easier and safer to point the finger in the opposite direction and shout "Boooo"?

Interesting. Is the HF bullying people out of seats, as you put it, anything to do with the raising of Tifos and the logistics of doing that in a crowded stand?

Unless large disorder happens inside or just outside stadiums, nothing will happen. This goes on in European tournaments all the time.

Tbh I was expecting our fans to be attacked by local fans at whichever away games and some not being able to defend it. I forgot we have the HF who think their left wing pro Palestine BS speaks for us all and there’s another group from Addo who detest their naive student politics and won’t shy away from confronting the HF with a history of ganging up on timid fans. I then learn about what sounds obviously like the setting up of fake Addo accounts by the HF to smear their reputation. How very snidey left wing. Smear and cancel as they do. I have zero sympathy for the HF with their bullying history and the way they go about things. They aren’t the innocent angels either.

I don't know who did what to who. What I do know is that when you advertise your politics in the current environment and add booze, you are asking for trouble.

And again, I have no idea what the team has to do with this. That is playground nonsense.
Spot on.

It is not racist to want/expect to keep ALL politics, political opinions and flags (other than Palace ones), from ALL perspectives, out of football and out of Palace. I’m struggling how some are finding that concept hard to grasp. It has nothing whatsoever to do with football or Palace.

You state open politics plus booze is asking for trouble but I think there's a third component that helps draw this altogether and that is below average intelligence. Thick drunk people arguing about politics will only go one way when talking to other thick drunk people with different political opinions.

I think the club should display their photos on the big screen at home games and let a bit of stadium peer pressure come into play.

I seen this on x aswell. And the they all seem to think that violence is justifiable if it's against racism (which is alleged btw) and are calling anyone who disagrees Nazi or hitler.
Straight out of the looney lefty playbook.

My take is, as I got caught in the middle of this nonsense. Two big fellas start scrapping, both looked as shocked as each other as to why - shaking their heads with false innocence. Then the ‘others’ from both sides immediately start throwing plastic chairs at each other. It was over as quick as it started but the damage to our club’s reputation was done.

I said to the HF guy what’s that all this about and he replied “I don’t know” All this RW versus LW is nothing more than speculation and a smoke screen to fit the narrative. Two groups who clearly can’t stand the sight of each other (yes, probably due to their political views) and have a scrap at every opportunity they are gifted and on this occasion, in Strasbourg. There was no political stance from what I saw or heard, just irresponsible and mindless behaviour with families and children in close proximity. All those involved should be ashamed of themselves rather than trying to justify the unjustifiable. There will no doubt be a few of them who were involved that night, monitoring this website - so guys all the booing and telling you to stop, is how we Palace fans felt about your abhorrent behaviour. I have endured watching Palace for 50 plus years and we have this amazing opportunity that none of us could even dream of 18 months ago - don’t spoil it for us!

Well said.

How is that actually racist calling mateta a c***. Did it include his colour ?
I don’t think he is but explain why that opinion is not allowed because he is black.
I think your misunderstanding the word that was used by all accounts. I don’t think it is the one your thinking it is
