Will the Green Party adopt Shoplifters of the World Unite and Take Over as the party song?
OK might be 30 odd years ago but he had quite a formidable front bench in oppositionI was always old Labour. I left with the suspicious death of John Smith. I've never voted Tory but I've also never voted Labour since Smith's death.
These lot are charlatans. And I would rather listen to the band.
The usual deaf and blind write Reform off but they forget that the red wall abandoned Labour in droves voting Boris Johnson in and already half of working class labour voters say they intend to vote Labour. The usual people who’ve lost their senses say there’s 4 years to go. Yeah, 4 years for it to get worse. This government are so bad, and they were supposed to be the adults now in charge.I was always old Labour. I left with the suspicious death of John Smith. Jacob Rees-Mogg reckons it’ll be Ed Milliband lol. That would be so hilarious it would outweigh the pain of the damage. They’d be even more fecked in 2029 then.My take on Rayner.....
Starmer to lose his job by the end of the year. Rayner was the obvious candidate to take over, and had been positioning herself for months. The Blairite faction favour Wes Streeting.
Rayner has to be forced out to clear the way.

I would say they are eminently recognisable as a labour government. Spiralling government debt that they continue to try to address with tax rises and attacks on people who generate prosperity, rather than on public sector waste. And unfashionable as it may be, if you have to increase tax, just do the honest and efficient thing, and add 1% onto all rates of income tax. You might find the economy responds better to that than to a massive levy on employment which is applicable regardless of how profitable a business is, and which disproportionately hits those who rely on employing people. A further lurch to the left will just make all the country's economic problems deeper.Unrecognisable as a labour government.
A very adept and damning summary. She consulted with a few advisors, before succumbing to the "Tax evasion" option. It looks like she’s in more trouble according to The Telegraph. Apparently she and her husband sued the NHS for the treatment her disabled son received. Many would, but a hopeful Labour leader? So the money from the case was put in a trust fund.
Next the pair of them sell a large share of the house to their disabled son so use his trust fund to keep the house and use the money elsewhere. This is how Rayner gathered the money together. I still think she had a large mortgage.
Next it is apparently breaking rules and a problem that the flat in Hove is registered as a first home when it is actually a 2nd home. Before it was thought that it’s only how many homes you ‘own’, as she didn’t own any when buying the Hove flat, but apparently not.
Next she claims she made errors blah blah, only there’s the very uncomfortable fact she hired a tax and wealth advisor to avoid paying the stamp duty she should have paid.
I thought this wasn’t going to go anywhere after the weekend but credit to The Telegraph, they’ve exposed this hypocrite for what she is, rather than the working class hero who sets a good example and full of integrity. Nope, she’s a greedy hypocrite and now people know it. Another own goal the working class Labour voter will find abhorrent. Well done the lot of them.
The conveyancing would have been complex with trusts involvedThe hypocrisy with Angela Rayner really stinks with all her previous finger pointing at Tories and self employed people and I hope and want her gone out of the cabinet and deputy PM.
What will be funny if the unlikely happens is that she’ll have a new mortgage she’s going to have trouble affording as a back bench MP only lol, but then I wondered how she was offered the mortgage in the first place.
Yes, we didn’t know about the trusts until yesterday. There was always a question mark over how she could buy the flat for £800,000. Turns out she sued the NHS. A Labour politician and now deputy PM and cabinet minister suing the NHS. It just gets worse. The conveyancing would have been complex with trusts involved
Multiple ownership and trusts!!Yes, we didn’t know about the trusts until yesterday. There was always a question mark over how she could buy the flat for £800,000. Turns out she sued the NHS. A Labour politician and now deputy PM and cabinet minister suing the NHS. It just gets worse.
It's the Maradona defence. I didn't do anything wrong but my hand did.She made her career on pointing out Tory MP's on the make, well fair enough but commonsense says that if you are going to do that you ought to put your own house in order.
She has now said she did not knowingly avoid paying tax well that is not true. She set up a trust fund the reason people do that is to avoid paying tax.
She's a hypocrite of the first order.
Some women can only get a shag off their brother !The dreaded vote of confidence. By another incompetent. 😀
Rayner must be pleased with an endorsement from Rachel, from Accounts.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves says she has "full confidence" in Angela Rayner in her role as the deputy prime minister. (BBC)
I reckon there's too much in Rayner's closet that's going to come out in the next day or two.
Using her disabled son as some kind of mitigation, as some of her colleagues have said should be taken into account, is just about as low as you can go.
Exactly there are many parents who have children with health issues they don't feel the need to set up trust funds. The dreaded vote of confidence. By another incompetent. 😀
