Marc Guéhi

Well that's that then.

I can totally understand it from a business POV, but on a personal level, I really think Parish has f***ed up here.

If this was earlier in the window, with a proper replacement bedded in, fine. But to sell your captain, with mere hours left in the window, is f***ing ridiculous.

Yep, big mistake, however not at all unexpected.

Bad news/timing. But at least we have 12 days to sort out how we manage to live without him.
Left after playing a great game for us and we will always remember THAT Goal 😢

Selling captain and a great CB and going against best ever manager wishes. STEVE PARISH EVERYONE he’s is out of his depth and needs sell up and go absolutely insane needs his head checked and there is 3 hours left in this window now

Sliding doors moment for the club. And acknowledging OG won’t be extending his contract. Can’t understand why Parrish couldn’t negotiate a deal to keep guehi at club for the rest of this season. At expensive but worth-it cost given the upside opps that would offer the club.

Pantwetting has reached epidemic proportions.
We'd all have loved Marc to stay but he was off for free in the summer. Can't blame Parish - other than leaving it until the last day - but even that's not entirely in his hands. If he'd splashed out on Akanji and Guehi had stayed then he'd be cast as a financial clown. The bloke can't win.
WE WON THE FA CUP!!

Wtf can't Parish see that it's not only our captain leaving, but Glasner is strongly hinting he will leave too if this happens!? (that is something that £35m won't fix, actually less after Chelsea cut etc). These American investors don't seem to want to put their hand in their pockets either. Jesus, this is so Palace. We're on the crest of a wave but failing to capitalise.

We have billionaire backers, how can this happen for the sake for £35mio ? That's that then, Glasner off as soon as he can, trust broken..well it was nice while it lasted..all downhill from here. I've always tried to back Parish but this makes no sense, I really thought we'd keep him until the end of the season. A very bad decision..and I'm not going to say 'in my opinion' because it's a fact. FFS..so angry to lose Marc, our captain and our best player.

Sensible post Mr P.
I seriously doubt whether Marc going now (or January/next Summer) will have any effect on whether Ollie G stays or not. OG will be off at the end of his contract either way and at least we’ll have had £35m in to get a replacement for Marc.

GLASNER WON THE FA CUP NOT PARISH. ALL THE BLAME IS ON PARISH

The wisdom of this sale will be revealed at the end of the season. They way it's played out has been a farce, but if we still advance as a club then we can't criticise.

If we end up going backwards, then perhaps it's time for a new leadership and new investors.

The big culprit here is the league and it's ridiculous financial rules.
