Marc Guéhi

Rumour has it internal meeting now underway at SE25 as Liverpool are pushing and agreed 10% sell on clause.

Hopefully we will bring in somebody of stature as a replacement..as one things for sure an injury prone Brighton reserve on loan and a kid with a few professional games are not adequate replacements.
Can’t see the point of having a sell on clause. If he moves to the scouse he will be there for the rest of his career or until he is crocked out of the game. Whichever, they won’t be selling him for more than they pay….

If Guehi is a South London boy and loves Palace so much, then make him a contract offer that he will find impossible to refuse. It will seem even more appetising if we have a great season and exceed all expectations.

I know that a big club is appealing, but more money and winning is a great aphrodisiac where ever you are playing.
We cannot offer him ECL.

We cannot offer him the cache of a world famous "legacy" club.

We cannot possibly afford the astronomic wages Liverpool will pay him.

Does anybody know where this reported Liverpool medical facility is London? Apparently it's on standby in case a deal is reached today.

It would be a shame if some sort of protest were to break out in the area, blocking access to the building 🤣

Obviously, but we could make him our top wage earner and give him a contract for as long as he wants it.

You have to laugh at Sky. Anything to make their rubbish deadline day show look exciting.

Apparently, according to sources at the club, we are looking to sign a Guehi replacement, but time is very short now. Pavlovic is being mentioned.

Be surprised if Milan let Pavlovic go unless they have a replacement lined up, they only have 4 CHs.
You wonder how much of this is genuine and how much is a pantomime designed to placate certain parties.
We will never know.

I cannot see how you play someone in a game the night before when you are serious about selling, or why you would leave it so late. It could be just to squeeze more money out of Liverpool, but it is such a risky manoeuvre if you want to cash in.

It seems to me that all the speculation that the Guehi move is 'back on' and that L'pool are 'encouraged' that a Deal can be done is down to the fact that we are in for Igor Julio. no Idea what he's like tbh. someone said he's a left footed ball playing defender - in which case that loosely sums up Guehi's position.
but that's all it is, speculation. we need more CB's - we only have 3 CBs(including MG....Riad not included), when our system is 3 at the back, so need cover. we need both Julio and Canvot just to get the squad to barely healthy. and now with Whartons injury meaning Lerma needs to cover midfield, not defence - we're drastically short in that area.

Noone knows what decisions are being made behind the scenes. I just hope that SP makes the right decision(IMO) and keeps Guehi. yes we'll lose him for a free next year, but if he helps moves us up the table and get to the latter stages of conference, then I'd revenue will be up, so he'd have paid most of that back, won't he?

Honestly if I am Guéhi I would want out of this s*** show that happens every single season.
Really?
He's part of a squad whose togetherness is probably the envy of most if not all PL clubs. The way the players fight for each other and help each other and run themselves into virtual exhaustion is every fandom's dream. Look at Villa, yesterday! One of my Villa supporting mates here in Birmingham described his team as hardly breaking sweat whilst we were busting a gut.

Guehi is well aware of what he's got here and, I believe, will be more than happy to stay if the club decide not to sell.

How is every single big club in the world not in for Guehi at that price? It feels incredible that it's a one horse race.

Chelsea have spent £300m this window so far, yet don't seem to think that £45m to snatch Guehi at the outset would be money well spent.

Bizarre.
Not if he and his agent have made it clear that he only wants Liverpool. Why waste time going up a dead end?
