we are lucky Shakespeare was never responsible for Public Transport to and from his London theatre. If you sat in the back of a horse-drawn carriage and took a swift swig from a hip-flask - you could have ended up at Tyburn. There would have been a 'tolerance of other people's culture' gap. As I'm a big Beatles fan I came across someone who posted about this weird group of gay Beatle fans who have created an alternative sexual history for Lennon and McCartney called 'McLennon', where they were lovers.

All rubbish of course to anyone who knows about Beatle history.....Ono, tried to get Lennon to try gay sex later on but other than some gay friendly comments Lennon.....like the rest of the Beatles was basically straight.

But that doesn't stop people.

With enough time passing there will be another Dan saying....oh look, here it says that Lennon and McCartney.....blah blah blah.

The point is about what is important and worthy of most focus and importance in modern culture being heritage and a civilisation's acheivements, and that's not seen in the self entitled hyper individualism of modern society where the sexuality of exhibitionists in gay communities is celebrated far beyond its importance.

On the one hand, lets all be tolerant of LGBTQ and all their orientations. Of course its all ok, and we do not want to be like Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, is this all about Equality or is it another Two-Tier agenda ? whereby your ability to be the boss of , say, a national Broadcaster company, is tied in to identity-politics as much as it is to qualifications to hold the office ?

The 80s was about right.

No one was bothered about Boy George.....they had their own scene and were left alone.

But of course.....it was push push push and now it's gone way beyond a p1ss take.
