West Ham match thread

In saying this, I do believe we have been slightly less explosive in our attacking phases this season, and consequently, the opposition has been able to get men behind the ball. We're just not getting the space in front of the box like we were at the end of last season and so Eze soon finds he's got three around him. He's also been unlucky with the disallowed goal and then hitting the bar this week. This weekend did see an improvement over last week but I feel it will still take a few weeks of the squad training together before the pace picks up further. That will give Mateta more chances and will hopefully lead to more goals.
I also think Wharton's vision and precision took the opposition by surprise last season. Having played us in the first half of the season, they weren't mentally prepared for pinpoint through-balls from some Championship-level player who'd just arrived. Now all of our opponents know how dangerous he is.

When you saw Kamada was coming on, was there anyone out there that thought it wouldn't be for Edouard?

Taking Lerma off for Kamada was a disaster, and potentially led to both goals. I understand he had a yellow, but Decoure was the answer if he was so worried about it becoming a red card.

Glasner made a mistake. I hope he realizes this.

My thoughts as well. I was shocked when Lerma went off instead of the useless Edouard

Not to be snide, as I respect Glasner a lot, but I simply can't imagine a longtime Palace fan thinking anything but, "Edouard has had his chances. Good luck, Kamada!"
