Common sense is the antidote to ideology…
Common sense is often just ideology we’ve stopped questioning.

Stating the obvious about no violence as the locals had no one to attack. Doesn’t take poirit to work that out. Hang on he’s a Jew can’t include him. Sherlock Holmes’s maybe then. It’s sad you come up with false excuses when you do know why the away fans were banned! No idea, but I am arguing that the outcome was the correct one, even if the process to get there was a shitshow.
England
Of course it can be both - WMP were clearly stupid and made many errors, but the decision is also very clearly the correct one. Anyone suggesting otherwise is far more entrenched and ideological than I am.
England
This is categorically wrong. The decision (so the SAG say) was based on information, evidence and advice presented by the WMP. We now know that the evidence and information was either wrong, fabricated or exaggerated (all 3 in some cases) The Dutch police confirmed this some weeks ago and now the WMP are admitting the same.
The decision was not the correct one, even our government and PM stated it was the ‘wrong decision’ and they immediately intervened and began the process to have it reversed.
It was only Maccabi’s decision not to accept any tickets whatsoever for their supporters that meant a reversal of the decision would be immaterial.
England
You have argued some twaddle on here, but this deserves some sort of award. Its a matter of opinion, it can’t be ‘categorically wrong’.
The fact our government and PM jumped into a performative defence of Israel is neither surprising nor proof of anything.

Not an answer.
Is it false that Maccabi fans are regularly violent, before and since this decision?
Is it false that other clubs have seen their fans banned from European away games as a result of violent conduct?
So why should Maccabi fans be treated differently?
England
And as ever, you get schooled and resort to lazy antisemitism claims.
England
And you’re still shamelessly conflating Jews and Israelis for emotive impact. Your dishonesty never stops.
England
Says the bloke shamelessly throwing antisemitism accusations around for months on end.
My argument isn’t base on fake evidence at all - my argument is that violent football fans can and should expect to face bans for disorder, and I’m happy for this to be applied to clubs from anywhere. There is ample evidence that Maccabi fans are violent and likely to cause disorder.
England
Not we, just those involved or those instigating it. They’ve already been nicked so there is evidence, but it isn’t this that’s my issue…Palace were fighting in Stuttgart and trashed a few bars. Do you think we should face a ban then?
