Villa v CPFC Match Thread

A decent point. Attacking play much better. Two poor goals to concede though and we are still in the bottom three. Wolves putting our performance against Fulham into context. Still pretty much as you were at the start of the day and still a big hill to climb.
 
Good match well deserved point . Some excellent performances and those that were not were decent .

Plenty to be pleased about there .

Indeed it is frustrating and you begin to wonder where our next win is going to come from. Obviously a point is better than nothing, particularly when it comes at Villa Park, but in the overall scheme of things the occasional draw is not enough.

The reality is we need to find 9 wins from somewhere. While today was a decent result at some point we are going to have to win some games against these sorts of teams because we squandered opportunities against the likes of Leicester and Everton

Well at least we aren’t in a worst place plus we got a good result and played well

Ipswich won away at Spurs and Wolves just won 4-1 away at Fulham. At some stage we are going to have to get some results like that because we need to win every third game from now on in to have a realistic chance of survival

That phrase was often read on HOL last season before we played Liverpool away. But TBH, I share your concerns.

I think the next two games are going to be decisive for OG. I think he has to win one of them.

Agreed, last season with Olise, Mateta and Eza we would have put the chances away and made more. But sadly the main man together with constant injuries meaning a different 11 every week aren’t taking the chances as we had again today. Still a good away point and on to the next games 🙂
