As I said, you don't really seem to want to discuss this - it's just blind faith and vague soundbites about how markets work.
Anyway, time will tell - it's a very good time to buy if you're so convinced by Tesla's success.
You are right that time will tell, however I think companies need to be judged by their people and that's where Musk has had spectacular success in attracting the top, often autistic minds.
Tesla will produce the top products while they have the better people (look at their advanced state compared to Nasa, with the job of putting people into space). I compare Grok to the AI competition and only China come close....and China are working with less powerful hardware. Tesla have an exciting future with battery and robots....AI and robotics in the home will change people's lives and also is already in the process of massive change in the workforce.
The left trying to destroy Musk is so damn typical of what they do. Without people like him the future for the west is secured as second fiddle.
The top products are produced by the top minds.....On this China has by far the largest pool of talent....mostly because of numbers and that it didn't go down the same social and global self harming madness that the west did.
However, they started a long time behind the west....Who decided on their own to decline.
Trump is the first president who has properly articulated the threat to the west if it doesn't protect itself and achieve the changes to its social culture....starting to get rid of DEI and the obvious markers of state money corruption are a good attempt to head in the right direction.
Trade tariffs are more an unknown to me, however all those screaming at Trump also seem to give a pass to the market tactics of China where they effectively close their markets to fair competition and thus tariff anything a threat to their businesses and jobs. They steal IP and don't allow the victims to litigate. This has been allowed to occur without much comment when its threat is economically existential.
Something had to be done, only time will show if it has....personally I think Trump will end up having improved the position of the US even though he's used crude and damaging tactics in terms of soft power (most of which means little in economic terms).....and hurt his own and everybody else's companies in the short term.
