My guess is that most people who wanted a Tesla have already got one.

The market is for electric vehicles. Not Teslas. Vehicles that have a long range, can be charged quickly and reasonably at convenient places, are safe and easy to drive, have batteries that will outlast the car itself and are affordable.

Eventually that’s all of us. Teslas pioneered the early path but they have now been bypassed.

I don't think Musk cares anyway. He has done his Job. He has course corrected history for the better and is so close to defeating the woke mind virus.

He only really cares about getting to Mars now.

The topic is Tesla sales going down. If the technology and/or value has been bettered then it makes more sense to buy an alternative rather than some daft ideological justification.

Part of the reason for that is what I described. Add the “ideological “ justification, which is better described as an understandably principled act, and it’s a difficult situation they have been backed into

The people here welcome incomers who settle. They bring money and lots of building work.

They don’t appreciate the second home owners who only spend a couple of weeks a year here and have turned many of the pretty harbour towns into empty shells in the winter and made the small cottages unaffordable for youngsters.

Are those the batteries that can’t be recycled?

Not the latest ones, although there’s little need for them to be. Some are suggesting they could still be used 100 years from now and that their efficiency would only decline very slightly. The problems arise if there is a major accident because my understanding is they are now a structural part of the car, rather than just a component.
