My guess is that most people who wanted a Tesla have already got one.
The market is for electric vehicles. Not Teslas. Vehicles that have a long range, can be charged quickly and reasonably at convenient places, are safe and easy to drive, have batteries that will outlast the car itself and are affordable.

Eventually that’s all of us. Teslas pioneered the early path but they have now been bypassed.

The topic is Tesla sales going down. If the technology and/or value has been bettered then it makes more sense to buy an alternative rather than some daft ideological justification.

Part of the reason for that is what I described. Add the “ideological “ justification, which is better described as an understandably principled act, and it’s a difficult situation they have been backed into

I wondered if you would feel the need to bring that up yet again.

The people here welcome incomers who settle. They bring money and lots of building work.

They don’t appreciate the second home owners who only spend a couple of weeks a year here and have turned many of the pretty harbour towns into empty shells in the winter and made the small cottages unaffordable for youngsters.

Then they'll absolutely love Musk since he's got so much more money than all the others have between them.
