Funny how the left didn't tell Obama to 'focus on issues on the other side of the Atlantic' when he weighed in on Brexit and how we would be 'at the back of the queue'. Or that they didn't say this when Biden opined on how the British government should behave on Northern Ireland.

And Labour paid no attention to Trump. Khan didn't tweet about it, Lammy was silent and The Labour party didn't intervene at all. Just some unaffiliated aides went over for free as volunteers. Really nothing to see.

I agree with you while also acknowledging that Reform under Farage are purely Thatcherites who are possibly compromised with their Islamic money chairman.....who is quite impressive but I have doubts about.

Reform are like Trump....not the answer but just better than the current order.
 
When you hear the left or social liberals moan about Musk and how he interferes or funds things they don't like never forget that....while most of them rarely know what they are talking about.....those of them that aren't ignorant are pure hypocrites.

For example, today Biden awards Soros the Medal of Freedom.

Soros has been interfering in politics for the left for decades and massively funding their projects all over the world via either NGOs or left wing politicians and officials.

As a mode of obfuscation the left always accuse their opposition of what they themselves are guilty of.

Yup. Musk is Republican so what, the rest of the Tech Billionaires have been funding the democrats for years I didn't here any complaints then. Harris had a war chest 3 times the size of Trump where di that money come from?

Political funding in the USA is a joke, both side complain about it but anytime a senator tries to reform it, it gets shot down.

Musk should not be interfering in the UK but both Tories and Labour have had foreign donors for years and were fine with it. I bet if Musk suddenly came out for Starmer they'd soon shut up.

Labour have bit their tongue and accepted the reality that we have to cope in some way with four more years of Trump. That a few Labour activists chose to volunteer to help the Harris campaign, paying their own expenses to do so, is a million miles away from a foreign multi billionaire involving himself directly in our politics and threatening major financial support for a party he approves of.

George Soros maintains an arms length relationship with his Foundations. He funds, they decide how best to invest his money into projects he agrees with. They support campaigns who require funding to get their voice heard. Soros does not fund parties or get directly involved. Unlike Musk.

Nevertheless both should be stopped.

Taking the knee was a response to a much wider social issue than that of just one man. That many showed solidarity with the sentiments is hardly something they should be condemned for.
 
I feel I need to comment about the soy boys currently thumping their concaved chests about 'distancing' themselves from America and only focusing on Europe.

If Donald Trump were so inclined, after taking office, he could double gas prices and crash the economy.

Well, hardly any of them seem to know that America is our single largest trading country at nearly one fifth of our trade. Since these same types considered it massively important to get involved with fighting Russia our gas is much more affected by America.

Of those who aren't ignorant of this it's that that usual special sort of narcissism that only breeds within the dimmer types. Classically they have little or no skin in the game they care enough about and are quite happy if things go to crap in a hand basket, just as long as their fragile ego is bolstered.

While I personally, unlike them, have massive regret that our country is no longer strong in this world....their type on the other hand have spent their whole lives seeking to destroy that very strength, knocking us at every turn, pulling us down, destroying the family unit and the nation state.....social communism within the neoliberal economic model.

Since he lost the election Biden and his team have been issuing proclamations almost directly opposed to what Trump will do for instance banning offshore oil and gas exploration.

It's ridiculous that a leader who has no mandate can continue to run the country and make policy directly against what the incoming President will do. He's just trying to wreck it for Trump.

Most outgoing Presidents do very little in the dog days because they feel an obligation to the electorate, of course if the incoming is from the same party they can work together. What Biden is doing he should be ashamed of himself.
