US Politics

We’ve had weeks of the liberal media saying that Harris was moving ahead in the polls and have had to suffer all the Anti Trump / Pro Harris bias and daily barrage from the BBC, ITV and Channel4, Guardian etc…

What absolute bllx and it just shows them up for what they are with their pathetic agenda and attempts to influence the narrative.

These exit results show that Trump’s approval rating has increased, his standing is certainly stronger that it ever has been, he has improved his margins across various demographic groups and despite months and months of messaging and smears by Democrats about his character or what a second term of Trump as POTUS would look like, the American people have voted and Trump has their clear and resounding support. He has won this one comfortably.

The far left lunatics have tried to kill him, imprison him, frame him, denigrate him, ridicule him and gag him with all the means at their disposal. Still the electorate sees through it all and does the right thing. Meanwhile on here, the same sort of people now say they will still get him when he is out of power.

Make America Great Again? More like kick it in the teeth.

Trump did nothing for the US economy. Any pre Covid growth was due to Obama, just with a time lag. The inflation in the early Biden years was down to Russia, Covid and Trump. The recovery now is down to Biden, but the credit will be claimed by Trump.

Flows of people are just part of the modern world. They demand effective management but are not just taps you can turn off. Politicians who suggest they can are peddling dreams.

That the people buy those dreams is true and has always been true. It’s how populists win. They lie, as Trump lies, and they win.

What’s surprising is that the people know Trump lies, but choose to ignore it.

Doing the same thing twice and expecting different results?

The right will gloat and think they can do the same in Europe but when it gets messy in the USA they might find we are better at learning lessons than the Americans.
You haven’t got a clue! 😂

Great news this morning, waking up to find Donald leader of the free world.....again.

Starmer might have sent him congratulations, but he will know that his new best friend will put a lot of energy into reducing the size of America's public services, spending and taxes which will send a strong message about where we have gone wrong.

Also, can't wait to hear Lammy's verdict after his anti Trump diatribe a while ago.

Not only is seeing Trump WIN a fantastic and reassuring thing but yet again seeing Wissy proved wrong and eating humble pie…puts into focus just how wrong his opinions and predictions continually are 😃
When any election was predicted to be as tight as this in a country like the USA where common sense often seems in short supply then nothing was certain.

That was always understood. So whilst neither the result I expected or wanted, to suggest I was wrong isn’t true. I knew no more than anyone else. Analysing what happened will take months. Now we need to focus on how to cope. Dwelling on what happened yesterday achieves nothing.

So I won’t dwell. You can gloat if that makes you happy. That achieves nothing either.

Now I am thinking about any likely personal impacts and then about the wider implications.

Khan is already being rude.

We saw a flood from Ukraine when Russia first invaded. I expect a bigger one now.

Whilst Trump will rack up a trade war with tariffs that will fuel US inflation he won’t interfere militarily over Taiwan. The brightest will leave. Let’s hope we will accept them. Or indeed in the disputes in the South China Sea. Which is not good for any of the western leaning states in the region. The balance of world power was always shifting east but Trump will give it an almighty push. Make America Great Again? More like kick it in the teeth.

It won’t stop for long with Ukraine. Putin will lick his wounds, consolidate and then push on. Without US resolve it will require the rest of NATO to step into the breach for 4 years to hold back the tide. These will be dangerous days.

This attitude encapsulates exactly why Harris lost. If the electorate is constantly derided as easily misled, thick, gullible, etc then why be surprised when they don't like it and vote accordingly?
As has been said, how bad has Harris's campaign been to lose so comprehensively? In the end just not being Trump was never going to be enough.

What that people looked at the Democrat's offering of far left lunacy and choose Trump.

This has been the scary part. I am not sure if it is just stupidity or sinister (and probably a mixture of both) but the way in which the machine got behind Harris, despite the fact that it was clear on an amazing level of metrics how she was an absolute non-starter.

There is one theory out there that it was actually Biden who screwed the Democrats by his endorsement of Harris when he was effectively forced out of office. That his revenge was pushing Harris as his replacement, fully aware that a: she did not stand a chance and the b: those who kicked him out had somebody else lined up and he wanted to screw that up. And that once he had said it would be her, they could not then change that up. Not sure myself BUT it is clear that the polling, again, has been a joke.

Shy MAGAS.

In fairness to the pollsters if people wont talk to them because they are embarrassed I'm not sure what else they can do.

As Elon Musk has just so eloquently posted…

GAME, SET & MATCH!
Yup it looks like the Republicans also have control of Congress which should make Trump's Presidency a bit easier.

I said the other day the best outcome would be a clear winner, if Harris won I would have wanted her to win Congress as well. There is nothing worse that a President from one party and a Congress from another, nothing get's done.

A victory against those within the political scene who attempt to secure power for themselves by emboldening failures.

Creating a culture of blaming everybody else for your failings, and having a bogeyman to represent that, may work to secure power but is soon undone by performance and results.

I sincerely hope we soon see a situation whereby global politics moves away from 'the few' rallying and manipulating failures, allowing them to shirk responsibility for their failure by blaming others for attacking some ludicrous and often self-determined 'identity' of theirs, and back toward objective reality.

Yes, but how do we get rid of our wankers in the UK and Ireland? That's our next job. More of the same s*** in Ireland does not sound palatable. And four years of Starmer yet (possibly - if he doesn't f*** it somehow).
I'll be wearing my MAGA hat with a smile when the Irish canvassers come knocking on the door soon. It will give me some small satisfaction the look of their grim faces.
