What a really stupid response!

No one in their right mind doesn’t condemn what Hamas did or what is stands for. All terrorism is condemned. Nor do they disagree that Israel had the right to respond.

There seems to be an assumption in your mind that if you are a Palestinian then you are also Hamas. It’s untrue. Most people there just want to live a normal life, feed their children and see them grow. They aren’t all religious fanatics.

It’s not responding to Hamas that is criticised. It’s the treatment of the innocent, the disregard for human life, the use of starvation as a tool of war and how the legitimate need to respond has been used as an excuse to achieve a long held and much wider aim. Which is to acquire Gaza for themselves and create the greater Israel implicit in Zionism.

Aiming to nullify Hamas and see the establishment of a ruling authority in Gaza that lives peacefully with its neighbours is perfectly ok. Ethnic cleansing is not.

Israel occupied Gaza in 1967 during their heroic fight against multiple enemies. They allowed them to co-exist as a state. The response of those in Gaza was to elect a terrorist government dedicated to the destruction of Israel with constant attacks culminating in the October 2023 atrocities. It is a war - who do you want to win? Was our response to Hitler to be condemned? Israel is surrounded by enemies seeking their destruction, they have no other choice than to defend themselves. Victory to Israel!

He is looking like Biden, rooted in a previous era, the RSA Prime Minister is being feted at home for his good manners.

I think a cap of 75 years of age should be introduced, but it's still the worlds worst political system giving so much power to a vegetable.

Certainly in the UK as well the House of Lords should be abolished, do we actually have any young people?

Their minds are not agile enough or able to accept new realities that conflict with their upbringing.

There could, or not, be tariffs one way or the other nobody is bothered anymore he doesn't really know what he is doing from one day to the next.

Just an odd response - I've said nothing about it being the most important factor, you've just made that up.

You then seem to suggest that if people are dead, there's no point investigating what happened to them - someone better tell every police force in the world.

I'm trying to tell you, albeit unsuccessfully, that the definition of that is happening will make no difference to the death toll or the intentions of Israel.

If I read the situation correctly, they have decided to rid themselves of the Palestinian threat while paving the way to occupy more land.
The threat is real, as shown by the attacks last October, and Netanyahu is being ruthless in responding.
Whether one calls this genocide or simply protecting Israelis is just semantics at this stage. It won't change anything.
Any inquest into the nature of Israel's actions will take place later and too late to save anyone.

I have a friend who lived there for years but returned to the UK on retirement because of the crime rate. He has many stories to tell.
