US Politics

Apparently the BBC and the Guardian have cancelled holiday leave for all their volunteer staff first aiders for the rest of the week. A BBC spokesperson said in the event of a Trump victory we are expecting a significant uplift in TDS related medical emergencies.

We approached The Sun and asked if they had any medical contingencies in case Harris won, a spokesperson said "Oh is there an election? If Kim Kardashian withdrew from social media now that would cause a meltdown...."

I'm pretty sure that when Trump wins he won't be that interested in most domestic policy himself. He'll leave that to his team, Kennedy, Vance, Vivek and co.

I think he will mostly focus on what obsesses him, which is going after those that went after him and foreign policy.

Things are going to be nuts in America, because the Democrats are going to have a very difficult time giving up power to Trump.....To him he's the devil and someone they will find very hard conceding defeat too.

I expect, riots, I expect them to burn baby burn.
i expect Trump to win the election. And then to suffer some kind of an accident or medical emergency.

They clearly sent staff. Back tracked on it and lied. It stinks. Perhaps they should send some to help the Russian opposition?
but it's ok for Farage and Truss to go out and support Trump is it? What difference do you think a few extra door knockers will do? Let's keep this real

Let's hope whoever wins does by a margin that cannot be denied. I really don't want another 4 years of the loser complaining they were robbed and trying to sabotage the winner's presidency.

As for the winner they need to focus on the problems that the people care about not going after their opponents.

We live in hope.
You mean Trump as only he will complain, and he already has started.

The 2020 playbook he set up well in advance. With covid there were many more postal votes. He told his supporters NOT to go down that route and vote in person.
He also has an older supporter base who usually vote early.
So on vote night those already counted were always going to be in his favour.
He could then declare himself the winner.

When the postal votes were counted there was always going to be an adjustment.

He will do the same this time.

The big difference this time, which may have been underestimated is that many more young and female voters appear to be voting. On the whole most will support Harris.

Incidentally his 'evidence' of voter fraud this time included c50 people being registered from the same address. It turns out it's a monastery with over 55 nuns in residence.

The difference is that labour sent out employees to go canvass which is illegal. Which is political election interference.

Farage is there reporting with GB news. I havnt seen truss there so can't comment what she is doing.

Has anyone else noticed how ill Trump has looked in the last few days?

His colour is all over the place. Either very badly applied make up trying to cover something or indicating a real issue.

No one seems to have commented but I do wonder if his appearance will undermine confidence in his ability to cope with enough to make the difference.

Did you say the same about Biden? Mm I don’t think so

What I don't like about it is it's the government party supporting a particular side. The then obvious back lash if that side loses. Hardly good statecraft. All the government needed to do was wish both sides good luck.

It's not okay for Farage and Truss, but worse is that the Labour Party are the government and will have to deal with Trump if he wins.

I agree a few extra door knockers will not make a difference to the election result but could sour relations between the UK and the USA, so why did Labour encourage it? It's simply not worth it.

I don't doubt Trump will complain if he loses by a small margin. The Democrats have already shown how they will behave when the lost the 2016 election. Widespread riots mainly in Democrat states across several years, oddly they stopped when Biden became President.

The modern left can't help themselves.

Their own personal dislikes are more important to them than nation.

Civil Wars have often begun from sore losers at the Polls. And both the Democrats and the Republicans have shown themselves to be sore losers.

Getting an early night tonight. I've followed enough for the day.

Hopefully over the next few days I will get to enjoy a meltdown from Labour, the media, the epstein island visitors, cornwall, the diddy party goers and the loopy looney lefties.

Even if Trump wins and wins big I suspect this is all going to go very wrong eventually. There is simply no middle ground anymore. Maybe we need this to happen sooner rather than later? Because there is no fixing this s*** via the ballot box. There has to be an eventual partition between Left and Right. Now how that shapes up is open for debate, and suspect the sides will be a lot more complex than any of can anticipate but ultimately, I cannot see how we carry on with matters as they are. The Left have crossed many, many lines from which there is no going back.

Reminds me of the video footage of the early 1930s in Germany. The Left and the Right having pitched battles on the streets.
The US 2024.

------------------------------------------

ok Eagles , fill in the following - copy and paste it. Percentage of the votes....

Harris %
Trump %

--------------------------------------

for starters....my guess

Harris 47%
Trump 53%

I've never seen how Trump can lose to Harris if it's a fair election.

Her vote is almost fully reliant upon liberal women, soy boys and never Trumpers. Of course she is going to get the default left to vote for her but her entire campaign seemed to be built upon, 'I'm not Trump'....Ok, but that's not very exciting....and 'Trump's a nazi'.....which I don't see how any actual independents would believe that.....because presumably they would have already have been democrats.

For Trump to lose we would have to see sensible men and women not getting out in numbers and with the economy being how it is I don't see that as realistic.

Out of those that vote between these two I'd agree on something like a 53, 47 split for Trump. But hey, it's all speculation until the results come in.

Whatever the result it's going to get spicy.

Let the meltdowns commence.....I just hope I'm not having one of them.
