US Politics

yes, I'm aware of that. Now, much as enjoy watching you stepping in like his big brother, I'm sure that he's capable of answering for himself.
As the man said, this isn't the BBS, so please cut out the snippy personal remarks and stick to the post, not the poster

Thank you,

Nothing so far.

I don't agree with singling out particular racial groups, like the Haitians, with smears.
If there is a problem with immigration, concentrate on the numbers, not on particular ethnicity.

I don't agree with visibly supporting the physical attacking of journalists (the ones they believe might give adverse news coverage) by his followers

I don't like the way he has operated as a leader of his armed militia that is not a government armed force.

I don't like the way that, before the blood is even dry, he blamed that awful crash on EDI.

I don't agree with his project 2025 proposal to replace civil service employees with 'nominated' staff.

I don't like the way he called on his militia to storm the Capital. Then he politely asks his storm forces ("You lovely people", or whatever he caressed them with) to disperse and go home.

I don't like the way he refused to accept his defeat in the previous election.

I don't like the way he carried on with that lie, even though no court in the country could uphold his protest.

I don't like the way that, when charged with encouraging the Capital riot, he squealed that it was all a 'witch-hunt' and accused the law as being 'weaponised'. I understand that the Krays also accused the law in this country of being 'weaponised' when they were convicted but they were laughed out of court.

I don't like the way he's cuddling up to Elon Musk, a vocal champion of Yaxley-Lennon (a man that Musk's father said was a better person than Nelson Mandela, I kid you not)

I don't like that he's given presidential pardons to those jailed for an insurrection of the capital building, in which 5 people died (including a police officer). No talk of two-tier there, eh?

I don't like the way that Zelensky was ambushed in a premeditated public attack that should have taken place in private.

I don't like the way he laid hands on another country's leader while haranguing him.

Now, what do I like?

............... I'll have to think harder.

Oh, and I don't like his idea of making Canada the 51st state of the US when we all know that we are! How dare he!

I believe a lot of that is tongue in cheek comments. Just ask our very own Dan 😉

Thank you,

Wisbeach Eagle eat your heart out.👍

The Stormy Daniels saga was quite unpalatable, just as one example. Brazenly throwing money at people to make a problem go away.

Trying to discredit the journalist that they invited to the airstrike briefing by mistake, is another

What a negative standpoint to take: not admitting fault simply not to be seen as having any opinion that might be shared by ‘Lefties’. Blinkered and craven.
What about sometimes agreeing with something without fear of what your bellow righties will think of you.
I agree with the welfare cuts that labour are carrying out. Too much mental health, motorbility free bees, PIP and blaggers.
How’s that for agreeing with the political party I detest.

Great. Thanks. 🙂

On face value, a reasonable idea but not for the reasons it's being done.

Labour are a tax and spend party. We are already taxed more than ever and the piggy bank is empty, so they are just moving money from one thing to another in order to try and make themselves look better.
This is about the Labour hierarchy trying to stay in power, not the good of the country.

They would rather spend it on migrants, diversity schemes and net zero.

Yup but if the lazy layabouts are shown it cannot be forever it’s a step forwards. I think give all the immigrants citizenship and take away free this and that and they become us. No bodies who join the queue.
Then they can wait for the quack, struggle for any help and wish they hadn’t bothered.! Even the allah Akbar would stop as it’s them and theirs that will go without!!!

So the American contingent didn't see much of Greenland in the few hours they were there. An American military base,...err that's it.
Usha Vance must be really hacked off. Her cultural visit destroyed. No dog sled racing, no shopping, no indulging in Greenland culture.
In a few years, when America takes over, she can freely go to Greenland and eat at McDonalds and visit all her favourite American shops, Macey's, Walmart, etc.

The Team-Trump Government of the USA really has it together. Even when one of them drops the ball, they cover for each other. No political back-stabbing or in-fighting. Mind you, early days yet.
And yet the Democrats just seem really bitter about it. They really need to take this time to get their house in order, else they'll be a long time in opposition.

If the US moves on Greenland, it gives China the moral thumbs up to move on Taiwan.
But I suppose the reaction here will be “so what?”.
My thoughts
It's all about the big boys taking what they can. Ukraine, Taiwan, Greenland.
