I like him and would love to sign him permanently. He’s a tad mechanical but still good and seemingly a lovely lad.

I thought £25m was a fair price but maybe there’s a deal nearer the £30m mark. Chelsea’s £40m is very optimistic imo.

Chelsea will try to use him as a make-weight for a Guehi offer.

TBF, he did have a poor game against City. If the back 3 stay fit, he won't be a big miss (other than his goals)

You may be right. I would certainly want him back but at the right price, £20m? Richards seems to be back in the groove but we are only one injury or suspension from a non specialist stand in.

I wonder what Trevoh thinks? He must miss playing regularly and feeling like he is a valued member of the squad and team.

Yep..was thinking exactly along the same lines.

I did wonder whether he might struggle back at Chelsea.

He was going from a back 3 with 2 wing backs, to a more traditional 4. Perhaps he suited to playing as part of 3 rather than just centre back pairing.
