In my experience the group most skeptical of people calling themselves 'experts' are those with PhDs.
In my experience those regarded by their peers as experts generally know more than the rest of us.

When there is a consensus formed by such people, on any subject, it generally means there are good and sound reasons behind it.

Barrack room lawyers have morphed into internet know it alls in the modern world.

Evidence of which is on clear display here on an almost daily basis.

I am not the least amazed and have no idea why you think I would be.

I am fully aware that people are all just people and hold views as individuals and not by any classifications that others try to pin to them. Indeed if you have followed my recent comments you will have realised that. I reject the concept that people are defined by the colour of their skin and have met some folk with very dark complexions who are avid Trump supporters and as right wing as any on here.

Y-L doesn't have balls. Like Trump he is by nature a bully and bullies are, at heart, cowards who are incapable of recognising their own frailities.

I could give you some tips, but I won't. Firstly because you seem unlikely to listen, let alone heed them and secondly because I try to be polite.
Why are replying to me over this. It was a message for beak.
Have you not taken your pills today Wisbech.😃😃

Bit of a generalisation. Some become bullies because their innate viciousness enables them to be spectacularly good at it. Stand up to a bully and he'll run away is a massive misconception - he's just as likely to kick your head in.

Since you agree that theoretical opinions are not as useful as knowledge from experience thank you for proving mine.
Since I didn’t agree that, I also didn’t prove anything.

I don’t think you can make such a sweeping claim! Experience can lead to many things that could be regarded as knowledge by those having it, but as bias by others. In such circumstances the opinions of the wise, but not personally involved, could well be more useful.

Standing up to a bully on your own can result in disaster. Collectively doing so isolates and produces the desired result. Look at how the world is dealing with Trump for the evidence.

Doesn't wisdom come from experience? I suppose we'd need to find a wise person to ask.

It doesn't always produce anything other than disaster. Still, kudos for contriving to work Trump into it.
