He has been found guilty of contempt of court. Not picking a particular target. The Court found he had repeated lies against their order. That telling lies about Trump might be more difficult is beside the point.

I meant the difference in the support he received for his views.
When he was inside before he was in solitary confinement, what sort of thing do you think he could have got up to?. He was in Belmarsh before so why is it unlikely this time? Have you got the popcorn out? Or is tgat on ice until 6th November?

It wasn’t the support for his views that put him in prison, it was his contempt for the law.

This was a crime that would normally be punished in an open prison. It did not involve violence or any behaviour requiring incarceration. However he is a controversial character who could cause disruption from either supporters or opponents. An open prison is obviously not secure, so that presents a major challenge. If he gets put into solitary it won’t be as a punishment but for his own protection.

Only if it’s decided he can be safely housed there. Not to punish him more. If that’s the only place with suitable facilities for someone who presents unique problems then so be it.

The point being that had he concentrated on attacking Trump he wouldn't have been in court in the first place and would have garnered considerable support from some quarters.
