Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

I've no idea but it strikes me that whichever of the Americans is in charge (Largest shareholding) the likelihood that they would want SP to remain as CEO seems strong - his track record as the guy in charge of the day to day running of the club is really quite impressive.

Of course we can all bitch & moan about ticket allocations & transfers etc but overall in the last 12 / 13 years or so he has presided over pretty much unquestionably our most successful period to date -
Unless Parish has been “tapped up” himself and is considering an offer to become the new football regulator! Something, following his recent experiences, he might relish.

Not so sure that it would go down well everywhere, especially in Nottingham.

Cheer up, it may never happen. We have just drawn away at the World Club champions and were unlucky not to win and you still continue being negative.
I’m not down beat at all with the way our first 11 play, I thought we matched Chelsea in most areas of the pitch yesterday. I am genuinely concerned that if we lose 3 or 4 of our best players then it would be very easy to get on a losing streak with little choice to change things. If you start getting into trouble you can’t rely on kids to get you out of it.

Seen it too many times in the past when important players leave small squads.

More than likely will tho, according to sky we've only won, one out of 15 games that eze hasnt featured in, we had no one on the bench who was gonna come on and win us the game, with European football on top, we need to strengthen.
the media said the same thing about Zaha , they never put full stats as it doesn't suit there agender , like how many times have we lost with him , how many chances we had without , and so on , but yes even with we need extra

I think I may have had a moment of clarity, this may sound like the bleedin' obvious, but Eze and Guehi will only go if replacements are secured. That accounts for the delays, and Marc I think would be quite happy to stay here in World Cup year and go for nothing next summer but the club can't afford that or not to have him playing atm, hence the friction. Glasner is insisting that they play now cos they might not go if we can't arrange for their moves and replacements by the end of the window. And there's always January.

We've made a bid. Didn't work but we've made one.

This guy signed a new 4 year contract last month, there's no chance in hell he's coming to us, or anybody else!

Money talks and better standard of football to test himself. If we offer more he will come
Something we don't appear to have a lot of.

Even if the Eze money comes in, we'd have to spaf the vast majority of it trying to tempt this guy away, which I don't see happening either.

Bilal El Khannouss is the only likely replacement for Eze in my opinion, if that doesn't happen, Eze stays.

Suggestion on the BBC site that Tottenham had a consultant at Stamford Bridge yesterday, that Palace were negotiating but wanted a minimum of one preferably two attackers in the door before sanctioning the move.

Can't afford what? £25m net next summer, when our combined shareholders are worth in excess of $20 BILLION???
Come off it.
Unless they are all losing the plot, our shareholders will not be selling our two best players for combined £60m net. Not when we are about to start our first ever season in Europe as FA cup winners, and with a fantastic manager who would almost certainly be gone if we start selling star players under contract.
We are on the up!!!
A draw away at Club World Champs to kick off the season (genuinely unlucky not to win). Europe beckoning.
Think about it.

They are all reporting this even Sky. But whether the club have made it public or not, it just happens to be the bleeding obvious. He needs replacing if he was to go. As OG himself has said, he would like two in, it wouldn’t surprise if we were trying for two with nothing to do with Eze

Maybe all the stories have been leaked by the club, by the time we get to the end of the window we're all just grateful to have kept Eze and Guehi and completely forgot how terrible this window has been.

Maybe leaked by Spurs to indicate that they are pushing hard to complete a deal & any blame as to why a deal had not yet been done must of course do down to Palace being difficult.

It appears money is tight this summer however we don’t know what the actual budget is and how Eze sale impacts this as we are making assumptions

I get what you say, it's just that we have to replace Guehi by next summer, if we do it now we can spend about £35 mil on an adequate replacement, if we wait till next summer we won't have the money to replace him. That's what we all understand by 'can't afford'. And you're right we are on the up.... "to Kazakhstan and beyond!!!!!".

There's an awful lot we don't know. The economics of running a football club are far, far more complex than most people realise. The way some people talk, you'd think that Parish is deliberately dragging his heels and keeping his fingers crossed that it'll all work out in the end but he's transformed the club from the financial basket case it was under previous owners into a well run, properly functioning and respected club. I have absolutely no doubt that the interests of the club are always his primary consideration and that's why he's not going to play fast and loose with the finances. I have no idea what the arrangement is with Harris, Blitzer and Johnson and I don't understand why an arrangement exists where shareholders with a significantly larger financial stake than Parish can be trumped in terms of voting rights but it's clear that these guys implicitly trust Parish to run the club properly. I don't think anyone outside their circle understands, either.

What I'm saying is, Parish is no mug. In his time, he's delivered promotion, reunited club with ground, turned us into a steady Premier League side and now the first major trophy in the club's history. This is, quite simply, the most successful period in the club's entire history. In other words, I completely trust his judgement. There is clearly a valid reason for the sluggish activity in the transfer market that neither I or anyone else is aware of and I really wish folks would step back and actually think before whining and bleating about how we haven't signed anyone, without even thinking about why that may be.

If we don't expand/improve the squad in this window, I will naturally be disappointed (like everyone else) but I'm certainly not going to go off on one and accuse Parish of being 'penny pinching', 'stingy' or any other bollocks. It's a cliche, I know, but this really isn't a game of Football Manager.

I would agree sometimes owners would rather hold onto a player for a year and lose let’s say £25 mil in their asset than lose £10 mil in a negotiation with Daniel Levy. The problem is the new financial rules and them actually being implemented, except on Man City.
