Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

Leaving aside the squabbles and point scoring it's clear that we're not where we should be or want to be.

Glasner highlighted the 'passive ' nature of our transfer dealings, our extensive long term injury list and how many games we have to play in the next few weeks.
Sure the window is still open but it's clear that squad depth is a concern for Glasner in the opening weeks.

As others have pointed out we can put out a strong first team but it's no longer an 11 man game with usually around 3 subs made per game.

My heart will sink if we see Edouard come on for JPM or JRS for Eze.

And the possibility of further injuries can't be ruled out to stretch the squad further.
Let's hope we have some fortune in this regard.

He was being very diplomatic choosing his words carefully.
It would appear he is very disappointed with the transfer activity thus far and perhaps venting his spleen in private.

You’re clutching at straws Mate..!!

I told you before I’m not blaming Parish - just the strategy - what part of that don’t you understand..??
Try reading some of your previous posts - or if you like I can rehash them on here - happy to oblige .

As for clutching at straws I’m merely presenting a different point of view - what part of that don’t you understand ?

hit the nail on the head get 5 new signings then 5 first 11 get injured we are still in same position , no matter what we need some start of the season injury free , for a change

Mate you just won’t let this go - will you..!!

Why the lambasting of me..??

Yes I called this situation weeks ago - do I take any comfort in that - no I do not..!!

You had your view I had mine, sadly mines turned out to be correct, just hope now it can be corrected in what remains of the window..!!

As others have said it’s not a matter of points scoring - so why are you persisting with this..??

Beyond that we only have 3 fit centre backs in a system that requires 3 centre backs - one of them gets injured Sunday we are in big trouble..!!
Absolutely and I’m not in the school of thought that says Clyne and Lerma are decent stand ins. Lerma is adequate and that’s about it.

If you play with 3 centre backs you need 5 specialists plus Lerma. We have lost Holding, Chalobah and Riad to injury. Bare bones at the start of a season is not a good look.

I fully expect us to buy a CH but if we are waiting for Guehi money to do it then we need two so I hope they have them lined up.

Same reason you are - I’m not “ lambasting “ you but I will certainly point out where you are denying your previous posts. Actually I deleted two more posts I made last night in which you ‘ lambasted ‘ Steve Parish.

Do you not take comfort from it ? Did you not say that if we have a bad start to the season you will be on here saying “ I told you so “ ??

Throughout this you haven’t acknowledged that i partially agree with you. But you can’t see a counter point of view and that’s what I have issue with.

Mate this ain’t about you and me and I’m sure others are getting bored of it - I know I am..!!

There are bigger concerns and issues at stake..!!

Let’s just agree to disagree..!!

Are you saying he would go to West Ham? Stop drinking
Implying more why would he stay? Not backed by the board, despite delivering a trophy.
I see Wet Spam as a sideways move, but they do tend to back their managers. He would have a bigger budget and possibly see it as a chance to win another piece of silverware?
Let’s be realistic our squad beyond the first 16-17 players is mediocre. He deserved getting a couple more players in early, especially when you consider the injuries.
By the way, hadn’t been drinking but just consumed a 750ml bottle of Green Jacks Baltic Trader. A 10.5% imperial stout. Highly recommended!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - it isn't just our choice how early we can get business done!

Being realistic, how many players do people think there are out there who are of sufficiently high quality - Prem/European standard - who are thinking 'I really, really want to sign for Crystal Palace' at the start of the window?

There may be some who see Palace as an option, but would still wait to see if any of the 'bigger' clubs come in for them as second/third choice if approaches to other players fail. Many will be happy to warm the bench at a bigger club and get the occasional 1st team game on rotation than play regularly at Selhurst - and almost certainly get paid more for it too - well worth waiting to see if it happens, and no doubt their Agents would be too, with bigger fees for them, so no need to rush and sign their future away in week 1.

Lower level club players may well bite our hands off for a chance, but we have enough of them already still trying to come up to Prem standard, so not really what we need, unless we have to look down that route.

We may think Palace are the best club in the world to play for, sadly not every player shares that opinion (more fool them) 😮

Finally, everyone slags off the management for not getting in players when we already have so many injuries, but why does no-one have a go about a manager and coaching team who can't seem to get or keep so many of our players fit, healthy and injury free?

Rant over.......

Ollie said we need one more defender and one more attacker.

Hardly like he's asking for the world which makes it even more frustrating that we haven't signed them yet!!
