The bbc, again.

You’re right. The ‘dissident’ right would never.

Where there are sickos we will condemn them.

Good, he is where he deserves to be, unlike the Towlers who you smeared with far leftist lies on here.

Where a few might be, contrast that with your side of welcomed degenerates and imagine where most of them are. Wasn't even an ex Labour minister caught the other day...not by the left by the way or initially even the Police...and here is you looking for a case from six years ago.

Keep coping Dan.

Well done, you managed to look up the wrong guy.

Regardless six years for that? My country is run by absurd leftists.
Oh sorry. Remiss of me.

Did you mean this?

Samuel Melia, 34, a regional organiser for right-wing organisation Patriotic Alternative, distributed the printable stickers via an online channel with the intent of stirring up racial hatred.

Melia set up a group called the Hundred Handers on the social media platform Telegram, which had more than 3,500 subscribers, and members were able to download and then print the stickers.

When Melia was arrested in Farsley, near Leeds, in April 2021, a number of stickers were found in his wallet, which included slogans expressing views of a nationalist nature.

Following a subsequent search of Melia’s home, police discovered a book by Oswald Moseley, who founded the British Union of Fascists, a poster of Adolf Hitler and a Nazi emblem.

Apologies again, dude

Yep, apology accepted.

Well, so long as people have access to it, they can make up their own minds, can’t they.

I'll like your post because intrinsically I agree with the concept that an anti position to someone's politics should always be free to air.

Where I don't agree however is that this person can be attacked like that and there is no means to a right of reply to a mass audience by himself or another representative......It's just shut down and only one version is shown to the masses. Even the outlets that even come close to his arguments are continually under attempts to close them down....also by state funded organisations like HNH too.

This is the lie of social liberalism, it's only liberalism for themselves.

Even if someone doesn't agree with Melia's politics, which is fair enough in my view, I personally find the laws (which are new for this country) that allowed him to be convicted for stickers on lamp-posts as fundamentally anti freedom of speech and thus un-British in nature. There were no calls for violence and all the stickers contained legal language so I regard what he was convicted of as insidious and essentially manipulated language.

Not only that but they even refused him access to his own children during his wife's prison visits.

The state specifically targeted him, just as they are specifically targeting his organisation as we speak. It's pure double standards as stickers of non mainstream political views are plastered on lamp-posts all the time. Socialist Worker and other neo communist outlets are never targeted for this and it's only because the establishment actually have sympathy for some of their views.

More about Mr Worrel, mentioned in my previous post.

During the trial, Worrell denied the Holocaust took place and said he had been a member of the Ku Klux Klan.
He was jailed for seven years and three months in 2008 for possessing bomb-making materials and waging a hate campaign against a mixed-race couple.
Worrell described himself in court as an "ethno-nationalist" and said he did not believe in "diversity or multiculturalism
".

Again, it’s important that readers on here should have access to this.

On the subject of free speech, I wouldn’t feel sure, in any sense, that Worrel and his ilk, if given any power at all, would afford any freedom whatsoever to those who express dissenting opinions. Quite the reverse: any dissent would be brutally extinguished.

I have long since lost trust in the state in reporting fairly however....while I have no idea who Worrell is I can freely agree that if he indeed possessed bomb making materials with some intent then it's good that action was taken against him. Also if it's true that he was harassing people and not leaving them be when asked (again, I've seen people convicted on manipulated language over this) and that's genuine then that's also not good as that's a form of stalking.

That qualified topic covered I'll say this on free speech. I'd consider myself part of the DR, which a growing number of people are and I reject this notion that this means that it denies the freedom of speech to those that disagree.

I can point to my posts on Hol since I started where I have defended the right to dissenting opinion consistently. In fact I'll make the strong point that it was under social conservativism rule in this country that parties like the Communist party and far left organisations like Socialist worker were allowed to freely exist and promote. There were no calls to ban them from the state. That cannot be said to be the case once we moved to social liberalism for organisations opposed to its ideals......It is they who are far more authoritarian and put people in jail for speech.....That didn't happen in my youth to far leftists.

Have you read the quotes that I pulled out of the BBC article? Do you not think they are ‘far/hard right’?
My point was the terms far/ hard right, right wing extremist, have been used consistently over the last few months, it would appear to describe virtually anybody who is right of centre. Therefore the real meaning of the terms have been completely diminished.

Happy to be guided to anything of mine that is ‘tetchy’ Spider.

As I’ve just said, the fringes of the right are more emboldened than usual given recent events. Challenging them and not letting the narrative be bulldozed home without scrutiny is even more important now.
My comment was not in response to any particular post but a general observation. Of course , if the cap fits…. Just read this thread and others in the politics section, it will all become clear

You rarely hear anyone described simply as Right-wing these days. The politicians and media seem to demonise any with Right leaning views as “far-Right” All very odd and in fact very sad where we find ourselves as a country. Starmer takes it a step further and labels anyone who dares to raise sensitive issues as “far-Right” to try to silence them. We have a standing joke in the family that my 85 year old mum who has voted Labour her whole life is now far-Right according to the Prime Minister. She suddenly hates his guts and I’m not surprised. It’s utterly ridiculous this childish labelling and name-calling.

We deserve better.

True, but we aren't going to get it.

We are going to get this damp C3PO for years to come.....You're going to have to hear his woke crap and witness him selling us out for years yet.

shocking. I will admit. But does this prejudice travel in both directions ? what is the statistical evidence ? If whats good for the goose is good for the gander then...how many other people have been done for this crime ?

That’s primarily because those that hold far right positions are trying to portray themselves as just “right wing”. It makes them appear more acceptable.

I am right wing but I am centre right, not far right. I believe in fiscal responsibility, balanced budgets, hard work for fair reward. I detest scroungers. I also believe in social responsibility and in looking after those genuinely in need.

However I am constantly described as being of the left here. Only the far right would perceive it that way.

Not every poster here with traditional conservative views is far right. Far from it, but some are. There’s no escaping that, no matter how hard they try to white wash themselves.

Tyrick Mitchell's more right wing than you are WE
