The bbc, again.

Slightly misleading headline from the Fail. I thought this meant major cuts in the BBC Sports department.

The BBC hardly shows any sport these days and when it does it is mostly from third party providers e.g. the Premier League for MOTD. So you do have to ask the question what exactly does the Sports department do.

Well apparently they put on a show called Sportsday (nope neither heard of it either) and it looks like it's for the chop.

Not exactly the chainsaw from the Beeb but a start. They might want to look at Sports Personality of The year next, it costs a fortune, when all they are doing is showing the public how little sport is on the BBC these days and promoting their rivals.
"Iconic" show? Well, it's passed me by. The BBC are seeking to close 27 roles and create 27 roles which doesn't seem like a major saving.

Just when you think it can't get any worse at the BBC.

Will anyone be sacked for gross incompetence, don't hold your breath after all it's only taxpayers money.

The next time the BBC demands an increase in the Licence tax perhaps they should be remanded of the millions they have wasted in discrimination cases and legal costs due to internal inquiries into serious allegations against their own staff.

The BBC are solely responsible for the huge, inflation-busting prices of humble pie. It's so funny that they are forced to report on their own bullshit.

Except this part which isn't as amusing.

The losers, though, are licence fee payers who have seen hundreds of thousands of pounds spent on BBC presenters who were off work on full pay for at least a year, on top of whatever the costs of this settlement add up to. That may never be made public.

Their fear and reluctance to give women any kind of blame seeps into everything. This is a serious article and touches on a major failure in society but refuses to mention the role women have played in fatherless homes, putting it all on chance, men or somehow the Tate's

"echoed in a new report, external, which says young men who lack a positive male role model are in crisis. Fatherlessness has a significant impact on boys' mental health, education and future prospects, the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) report found"

"Some were wonderful dads but have sadly passed away. Some boys have been abandoned by their fathers...."

It fails to mention facts such as that the prisons are majority filled with men raised by lone women. If you want a better society then families need to stay together more, it's too easy and expected, with women the drivers of the majority of divorces.

Anyway, the glossing over is profound, they have recognised a point at least here, although I expect that their support of emasculation will continue

that is highly amusing. So they are under no obligation to tell licence fee payers, what their money was spent on ? Surely a Freedom of Information request would get them to explain their finances ?

Would that be removing 27 men and recruiting 27 DEI hires for the sports team?

Look at the guy leading it, has he ever play a sport?

Tut tut tut

So not only have they tried to fkcu over professionals , by rigging payrates between broadcasters, but they've been caught and fined £4M.

Where do people think the money to pay the fine is coming from ? is it coming from the DG's pay packet as the Main controller ? Hmmmm, it it coming out of the pockets of any executives identified in the scam ? Hmmm, let me guess,....

I see Red Nose day raised £34m this year which is down £4m from last year and well down on the £108m at it's peak. The BBC has blamed the economy, however £34m is not to be sniffed at (geddit).

My own theories are slightly different:

1. The public is fed up with rich celebrities who tell the poor to give whilst firmly keeping their own hands in their pockets.
2. The public is not happy that the majority of the money goes abroad and yet the BBC down plays this implying that most is for children in this country.
3. Charity fatigue. People are simply fed up with the endless requests for money (not just the BBC) every other advert on TV is a begging one.

you forgot to mention BBC comedy now being about as funny as a cancer-diagnosis.
