Sunderland Predictions.

In theory we shouldn’t have much chance.
Sunderland have a good home record, have been the surprise team this season and approach every game with maximum effort and professionalism.

In contrast our preparations for this game have been shambolic.
The announcement on Glasner for a start on the eve of the game.
The long winless run.
The impending move for our captain and best player Guehi and the rushed last minute call up to the squad for Riad who was due to play for the under 21s and has been out for a year.Far from ideal.

The club has also called back Imray from Blackpool a day or so ago, which looks like more knee jerk reaction.
Surely the time to bring him back was the earliest point possible in January in the light of Munoz’s injury if Imray was seen as first team ready.

Then there is JPM, supposedly eyeing a move in January and unwilling to sign a new contract.
What will be his mindset today approaching this game if he has an eye on a move?

Battered by non-league Macclesfield Manager leaving us. Best player leaving for city. Mateta up for sale. Are palace fans despondent? No. These are the good times. OG is history. The sooner he leaves the better for all. Get mcarthy on the case to rally the players til end of season . COYP😎🥳 0-2 for Palace today. Johnson to play a blinder and mateta to put himself in shop window with at least one goal. Totally palace 🧐
 
Well done to any of Palace's travelling fans, no doubt already on their journey to the grey misty world of Oop north.
Hoping Palace's players make as much of an effort on the pitch, as the fans have made going to that grim city. 🙂
 
Whatever!! All i can say is that I am back to dreading matchdays, which is "normal service has returned". There have been fleeting periods of matchday optimism stretching back over 60 years and these were enough to keep the flame burning. Today will be the usual proceedure of hiding away until it's over before checking the score. Still, makes a win even nicer. Just maybe...................
