Sunderland Predictions.

It was a terrible game and a crap overall experience. I got escorted to the ground forcibly more than two hours before kick off. I got hit in the head with a truncheon. Lucky it was only my head. And everyone I met in Coventry itself had some kind of mental health issue.
That doesn't surprise me if the police were banning sutton utd flags.

I used to travel to most games with Robbie Tobins coach 2 army. Lol.

Always avoided any trouble that way.

Although this game screams 0-0. This is our first week between games in a long long time that I can remember. After the last game I'm expecting us to be training this week and to put in a performance by the players and a 1-0 win.
I read that it had been pre arranged for the players to be given a number of days after the Macclesfield game and that Glasner had gone to Austria.
If this is correct it doesn't sound like an intensive training week.
My suggestion is that the training that is done should concentrate on defending set pieces and shooting practice for Wharton, Hughes, Lerma and Pino.
No dragging it wide, hitting Row Z, hitting the corner flag, hitting a teammate or side footing at the keeper allowed.

I've no idea, to be honest but what I do know is that Sunderland will be up for it and know how to harry and scrap.

Whatever the result, I just want to see us compete and not get brawled out of it. I'm looking for professionalism and pride more than anything else.

I hope the travelling fans are given reward for sticking with it. I'd be a bit pensive, travelling all that way, (and Sunderland makes Fort Neaf look civilised), and Palace couldn't even get a point, or show some ability.
We've got to get a reaction some time. Maybe Sunderland's the game

I didn’t realise Blunderland still had so many players out at OFCON etc, so I think I’ll definitely go with my 0-1 to us🙏🏽 despite us still having players missing, we could sneak this with a bit of reaction after last week

After nearly five months with only two days a week training three days is intensive. Maybe learning what those three white sticks with a fishing net is for might be a good start. OG must also stop the free drinks in the bar after the match for the player with the most sideways passes. A positive would be for the player with the most missed passes to compete against the 7 year old kids in the bullseye competition at half time. That should sharpen Pino up a bit! Any more suggestions?

I once went to Coventry away mid week. Awful game and 1-1 draw with Jamie Fullarton scoring a nice volleyed equaliser for us. Got back to the car to find some cretin had broken into it and stolen my overnight bag. All the locals just stood smirking at me clearly knowing exactly who’d done it. I’ve hated Coventry (the place not the club) ever since

Bill Glazier for a world record fee, my favourite keeper stolen by Jimmy Hill.

I don't know how many Afcon players have returned for Sunderland, but I do know our squad is still depleted, but against all logic I have an optimistic feeling about this one, blips and good runs can come out of seemingly nowhere and my gut is saying 2-0 or 2-1 to Palace, don't know why and it's not just bias, I didn't fancy us at Wolves, Burnley or Fulham and we won, so judging by that I'll say we'll probably lose although I fancy us to win.🙂

Surely the players must react to last weekend.

It’s got to be Lacroix as Captain tomorrow. I know Richards is Captain America but needs to concentrate on his own game. Guehi might have had influence in the dressing room but for me he is too quiet on the pitch. I want to see a new a Jim Cannon type. (For those too young to know he was our best Captain and if you slacked you got a kick up the backside.)

We will see who the real Palace players are tomorrow.

Team could be a bit odd

Henderson
Richards Max Canvot
Imray Lerma Wharton Mitchell
Johnson Pino
Mateta

We need a RWB to play RWB and get to the byline. Imray is fit, play him. We need a threat and the alternatives haven't worked.

Lerma has to start just from the perspective that he can head a ball and the set pieces have been a joke.

The team could give a really positive reaction, or we could genuinely get rolled 4-0. I have no idea.

With all that's going on it's difficult to foresee anything other than a Sunderland victory tomorrow.
I'll suggest 2-1, but will be happy to be proved wrong.
