A sad state of affairs if we only get £55m for Guehi when they are asking £40m for Quansah. There's a huge gulf in class between the two players in my view.

I have not heard of any interest in Joe Gomez. We are being linked with Gomez of Liverpool. A good centre back with a poor injury record.
If he is replacing Holding and not too expensive then fine.
Sunderland are favourites, they can have him.I have not heard of any interest in Joe Gomez.
A player who did not like heading the ball when he was at the Charlton academy !
He was playing at Right-Back at Charlton before his transfer to Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers started Gomez at Left-Back.

My problem is there are so many clickbait football pages now. Inside Football, Give Me Sport... it's mostly b*llocks some spotty kid has copied and pasted from another unsubstantiated webpage. We can look at these but until something is on the CPFC website (and maybe we loosely trust BBC, SSN) we might as well read a Harlan Coben novel. An example of quite how terrible the standard of reporting is:

How Steve Parish feels about selling Marc Guehi amid Liverpool interest. This is getting interesting! 👀tbrfootball.com
Not one quote or anything even close to it.
In many respects this is right but Guehi, only has twelve months left of his contract, Palaces chance of really big money was last summer, not that £55mill isn’t big. My disappointment so far is that it comes to this, because clubs can wait us out at worse and we get nothing. Guehi, and his agents seem to want the big money bonus that goes with a big club move regardless of any fee.A sad state of affairs if we only get £55m for Guehi when they are asking £40m for Quansah. Absolutely. It's in the agents' interest for players to move around and if other clubs are offering silly wages we can't compete with then they have to go while we can get a fee.In many respects this is right but Guehi, only has twelve months left of his contract, Palaces chance of really big money was last summer, not that £55mill isn’t big. If there is no chance of Guehi signing a new contract surely he has to go and £55+ some add on,s would not be a bad outcome. Get it done. Get a decent replacement in and set about Europe, is my feeling.
Dear Mr Parish, please remember how Liverpool pulled our pants down twice, 1 with Benteke & the other Sakho...that is allA sad state of affairs if we only get £55m for Guehi when they are asking £40m for Quansah. There's a huge gulf in class between the two players in my view.
Agree Quansah is over priced - i think it is a £34m 'deal' not £40m BTW, but if we were to get even £50m for MG with only 12 months left of his contract that is fantastic business.A sad state of affairs if we only get £55m for Guehi when they are asking £40m for Quansah.
