It makes sense most of the time but if Ndidi was only £9m thanks to the release clause, that’s a small amount of money to slot in and sit there until Doucoure can come back. Then if he can’t because of injury, we replace again next summer.

Likewise, having Zaha on the bench is a damn sight better than 2 GKs and Edouard coming on.

Then we need to spend real money on a Eze replacement and 2 centre backs.

I'd be happy with Zaha back as squad depth. He could still do a job behind Mateta.

Similarly, I would have thought Eze leaving is a big opportunity for Franca to step up

Franca is injured again. He’s been permanently injured and at this stage we just need to move on. Similarly Zaha would be such a step backwards. Hasn’t played well for several seasons now and not an OG player. We need to look forwards not backwards

Rowe would be a good signing, either alongside Pinto or the kid from Leicester (or even Elliot) and a decent CB....we can save the transfer window, but its ticking by quickly
 
As far as I'm concerned all would be forgiven if we got Gallagher.

Imagine both him and Munoz sprinting 30 yards to close down players, win the ball and move us forward.

It would be transformative and Selhurst would be rocking with enthusiasm.
He's also a good finisher with constant runs into the opposition penalty area.
He's not the best technically, but I think his intensity would suit Glasner and his ability to give the ball and go would be an asset in the system.

Glasner may even be persuaded to stay!
 
Lee Kang-in from PSG is available, 30m, he is a LF Eze, been speaking about him for ages, PSG have 32 players, he never starts, they want him out, sensational player, 23, on 70k a week at PSG, GET HIM. if we don't someone will get a bargain.

I just wonder if Franca is physically injured or mentally?

My gut feeling is this is an emotional problem - and his medical will go without an issue. Perhaps he was too young to embark on such a huge change of culture and environment??

Probably a bit of both. His fractured rib kept him out for a year which can't have been easy to deal with.

Yeah but he could rip the barn door off and lift the barn into position. If he could finish he’d be quality. Funny thing is I always had a feeling he was a palace type of player.
