Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

We do like to showcase a Chelsea player so they can sell hem on for big bucks!
I don't get this. By "showcase" you mean acquire for a whole season without paying a mega price?

The deals have all worked for us save Chalobah; and that was down to him hitting form and a rapport with his fellow CBs just when Chelsea suffered an injury crisis.

That they work for Chelsea too is incidental.

Some chat that James McAtee is available for 20/25m this summer.

If we could get 60m+ for Eze and replace with McAtee, that would feel like a seriously good bit of business.

I can not see him going that cheap plus a lot of other clubs would take him for that price if true.

Just look how much Palmer went for and you could say these two players are at same sort of stage if you compare palmer transfer with if this player leaves.

Just about starting to get to that part of the summer where it feels like we're off to a slow start. Players are back and not a lot has happened, albeit Sosa and Benitez cover off two problem areas on the bench.

It is refreshing to have an additional barrier to progress from UEFA this season, so credit to them for shaking up the usual pattern.

Strong rumours of 2 stars leaving, whilst hoping one of them does to avoid a disastrous freebie situation next year. Nothing particularly strongly rumoured for the first 11 other than a CB saga that's run for a few weeks now. Now that the big teams have done their business (except for the ones interested in our players), it's becoming time for the Palaces, Fulhams, Forests, Brentfords to start feeding.

We're teeing up nicely for the European situation to be solved in the last week of August, and to arrive alongside a Chelsea loanee and two signings who first became available on August 27th.

Slow start to the season followed by an upturn in February, play like PSG through the Spring and lock in a 12th place finish with a decent cup run!

I do think that, for once, we have to give the club the benefit of the doubt and recognise that the UEFA situation has screwed us. Directly impacts the size of the squad needed and how much money we have. Hopefully we find out this week and will know either way.

mcatee only has 12 months left on his contract so city not going to get that much for him.
